Asuma vs Gai

Asuma's my top favorite dude but GAI would kill Asuma in no matter of time. & I mean, OVERKILL.

Asuma has to be frigging lucky to win this one, like if Asuma held his trench knives with chakra blade on it up when Guy blitzs thru, cutting Guy in half. xd That's the only fat chance Asuma has.

We've never seen anything out of asuma that was particularly frightening. And he's had plenty of opportunity, before and after his death. I honestly have no idea why the ninja world considers him to be "famous", to borrow kabuto's description.

I think Gai would win but he isn't going to smash. They are both Jounin level, and if anything Asuma is probably smarter than Gai.

As far as we have seen, Asuma is quite good in taijutsu in terms of a boxing style and while using his blades and infusing them with wind chakra his range is wildly increased which would easily allow him to cut Gai easily when the fight comes to close areas. Plus with his ash cloud tech covering a large range that would give Gai trouble.

If Gai wants to win he would have to step up his game and most likely have to go to 4th or 5th gate so his speed would greatly out match Asuma.

Don't say Asuma is no match, he is a Jounin and one of the 12 guardians
