Has Choji surpassed Asuma I mean if he eats the pills and stuff do you think he will be able to take Asuma??? I know Shikamaru can. I think Choji can win.

Idk about Shikamaru beating Asuma.
I hope ur not saying that cuz Shikamaru beat Hidan and Asuma die against him. cuz by the time Shika beat him he already know his abilities and Asuma didn't.
There a huge difference there.

Despite the pass Choji has gotten stronger and that fight against asuma proves it Choji id no push over he know what he is doing and has gotten the experience.He is not ready yet for the real guys like bee and naruto but to guys like rock lee and neji he is catching up to them.It would be a good fight I think.Remember he no longer need the pills to go butterfly mode.Shikamaru vs Asuma asuma will win Shikamaru is still weak all he has is brains nothing special.

There's no comparison within Asuma and the edo tensei Asuma that Kabuto is controlling as the same from the 1st Hokage edo tensei that oro use against the 3rd. Their abilities/ways of combat are limit to the Host.
