Restrictions: None of them have OP techs, so no restrictions

Just wanted to see who would win out of two High Class Jounin.

Zabuza wins mid-high difficulty but it would be a good fight.

Asuma is slightly faster and doesn't have to carry such a huge sword so he has an advantage in CQC especially since his chakra blades are sharper than Zabuza's sword.

Zabuza has the advantage when it comes to ninjutsu since his water style beats Asuma's puny ash cloud and Asuma's dust cloud isn't strong enough to overpower Zabuza's suiton and it can be dodged easily. Zabuza can use clone feints to trick Asuma to lower his guard and get a clean hit on him.

Zabuza's main advantage is in chakra reserves and his mist. It can nerf Asuma but Asuma can somewhat counter it via dust cloud but that attack is a straight gust of wind so it isn't a permanent counter to the mist.

I'd have to go with Zabuza here. The generic hidden mist + silent killing combo may not be all that it takes to beat Asuma but it's a definite advantage. He's already out matched Kakashi's clone feints despite him copying Zabuza's water clone, so I reckon that he could outsmart Asuma as well despite him being a tactician. Put him by a body of water and you've given him access to his more powerful jutsu that Asuma really can't defend against. However with full knowledge, nothing really stops Asuma from moving away from the river.

Asuma's best chance would be to take out Zabuza in one blow but full knowledge works both ways here, so Zabuza won't be surprised when he gets cut despite his attacks seemingly missing.

Not tiny

And by the Jutsu description this isn't even a Jutsu dependent on chakra. It's literally the user spitting out ash and using flint in the back of their teeth to ignite it.
