It isn't an asspull, as this isn't a new path. We never new the full power of the Rinnegan. All we saw was a fake person using it. Can't honestly expect Madara only to be able to use basic techniques on the level of a fake.

This. This is the one statement that kills this thread. Madara's rinnegan is the original one. He's the real user of it and that eye with him has original techniques and greater techniques compared to Nagato using it. So read the chapter again if you didn't get that. 'Cause now we are witnessing the full potential of the rinnegan and that's a logical explanation for the tech you saw. Not an ass-pull.

Just made a thread, and here you have another valid point. Limbo Hengoku isn't an upgraded version of Shinra Tensei, it is a controlled one.

The reverse of Chibaku Tensei is Shinra Tensei

The reverse of Banshou Ten'in would be Limbo Hengoku

It's just another version of using deva path, the same way he used tengai tensei. The only thing he did in this chapter was to use its pulling forces in a different manner, just like he did with tengai tensei by pulling that meteorite. Same goes for the so called Madara using his susanoo without eyes. Take a look at the first time we saw Itachi with susanoo and tell me if he had them activated:

SO? My point is that you don't need to have MS activated in order to use Susanoo and the panel with Itachi proves exactly that. Being said that, it differs from all the other MS techniques since at their case, they can only be used when you have MS activated. Therefore, Susanoo is a manifestation of one's chakra, you might need MS to first unlock it but what the above pic proves is that you don't need to have the MS acitvated. Thererfore, MS might be the key to unlock it but you have no need of them to use it once you do- in contrast to the other MS techniques. Conclusion, Madara using susanoo wihtout eyes is not a plothole.
