[Theory] Aspects of Kabutos sage mode

Upon rereading the chapter there are a few things about kabuto's sage mode that i have yet to see mentioned

1. It is most likely imperfect, physical transformation means imperfect balance of nature chakra and ones own chakra. Kabuto has 4 horns. its possible that a physical transformation is necessary since he is could be using Juugos DNA to boost the Nature energy.

2. Kabuto quite literally shed his snake skin (as he states). Up until this point Kabuto was essentially a 2 headed snake with one end being Kabuto and the other the white snake head. Now kabuto is seen with legs for the first time in ages. You could say he still looks like a snake, but one could also argue that thats the dragon skin brought on by sage mode.

3. The imperfection of sage mode is the fact that one cannot absorb nature energy in movement. Kabuto is intelligent and knows this. So far there have been 2 resolutions to this flaw in the technique, and kabuto is using the tradition resolution. notice that the snake is now a separate entity from kabuto but is still WRAPPED AROUND HIM. im guessing that this snake is drawing in nature energy as he fights, it obviously was at the dragon earth cave with kabuto when he did his sage training, and they did learn from a white snake in the first place.

Maybe he always has those horns tho isnt this the first time weve seen kabuto without his hood on and the rest of his transformation hes always looked like that i could be wrong tho

Seems like the most logical aspect, however there is something I disagree with and that's your 3rd paragraph... Kabuto stated that members of Jugo's clan are capable of absorbing Natural energy, but it never states they have to be stationary - Which can essentially mean he can use Sage Mode for an infinite amount of time since his body, much like Jugo's, would now be absorbing Natural Energy at a constant rate.

I do, however, think Kishi is going a bit overboard with how he's trying to play Kabuto out to be... I'm only curious to see if Kabuto will continue to do what Orochimaru has always tried to do and that is get the Sharingan or if, like Orochimaru, he'll fail.

i think that's a good set of theories. This might also be an explanation of why jugo always goes in and out and in and out of his transformations. He absorbs a bunch of natural energy then runs out of juice? Maybe? Meh... sounds crap now it's written down.

I don't think Jugo's can control how much he takes in. Kabuto said when he gets too much nature chakra he freaks out and kills people. It's why I think each sage mode is different. Because Naruto would have turned into a toad.

I think he had these horns all along, if u look at the hood hes been wearing since he absorbed oro it sticks out pretty far behind his head. And that snake has always been wrapped around him, we were assuming it was part of him this whole time.

I think its weird that his sage mode gives him edo-looking eyes.

Didn't they show kabuto in the new anime subbed without his hood on? when he captures Yamato. I don't remember seeing his horns then.
