Why do you continue to hype up Itachi even after his death I just don't see the point?

ex: Hirzen saying Itachi had Hokage wisdom as a child & Hashirama stating Itachi was a better shinobi then himself.

Itachi is a special character for me....i created him to be a character full of wisdom,love, and loyalty.

Well, i was planning on making Sasuke the main protagonist of series before i made the first chapter of Naruto, but i changed my mind and made Naruto the main protagonist instead.....but i don't see how the series is about Sasuke more than Naruto.
