Ive seen some say that ashura was a jinchuriki thats y he has a cloak,but couldnt he hav just had the same senjutsu as the sage?

People forget that he has a giant humanoid form made of chakra. What does that remind you of? Susanoo.

Perhaps Ashura also had a simlar ability, to manifest chakra in that form. I can't really prove it, but that's a possbility.

it would be better imo if he didn't have a tailed beast, that would mean, he caught up to indra without having any access power, which would make his story more impressive
