Ashura & Indra Filler Review

Overall I give this filler a 6.5 out of 10, the animation of this filler was good, sometimes amazing. The overall development between Ashura and Indra was good in the short time that was given. Also the fact of how someone who works hard with others and manages to overcome difficult odds while someone who is gifted, relies solely on himself which ends badly, was showcased really well in this filler. I liked we got see them at an old age and seeing Hagoromo's death was quite sad as well.

However the main disappointment in this filler was it strayed to far from the manga, first of all why did Indra's MS look like Sasuke's because in the manga Indra had unique design, also Ashura using the wood style buddha which was completely random, where was his Battle Avatar and Ashura in the latest episode using a different type of Rasengan which was cool but at the same time basically wrecked one of Minato's purpose's in the series. Lastly SP should have let us see their final fight because we will never see Ashura and Indra again in the anime. Just one more thing to add the whole point of Ashura's character was that he trained hard and he earned his power, however in this filler he was given power by Hagoromo which defeats that purpose in the manga, but Hagoromo did say in the manga that he entrusted one with power so Ashura did gain his power but it must have been after he gained his own.

Overall good filler, but strayed too far from the manga what do you lot think?

Yeah that was kind of random for Indra's sharingan to look like Sasuke's. Maybe they're trying to draw the similarities between Indra and Sasuke who knows at this point.and wpod golem was the most random thing I've ever seen . Admittably it wouldn't be so random if Hashirama didnt already have it. I guess we know why they're called the Senuu of the forest now making Hashirama's unique wood style a little less confusing and how Naruto got his wind release. And why Sasuke's MS is black over red instead of red over black.

While Asura used the rabsengan it looked forced to show the similarities between asura and naruto. Also you forgot to mention that it spoiled Asura's hard work that his father basically gave him power he didn't awaken it on his own.... Not to mention wood style when he noted to be a wind style exclusive user granted chakra nature can be "shared" but in order to have those SSB you need all five nature elements right plus yin and yang release if I recall correctly. Maybe he didn't know?

I think that battke avatar really was just him using Kurama furthering his connection to Naruto. Really laying the connections close.

Anyonee else notice that old man Indra looks like a grown Obito if he didn't have that rock smashed side of his face scar :th:

You know what your bang on about ashura's power being given to him by his dad, I think I will edit the post i talk about that a bit thanks for your comment.

This episode made SM Hashirama and EMS Madara seem like Gods comapred to Indra and Ashura and even Hagoromo. Madara PS was looks way more destructive and Hashi made the same SS without others chakra and especially the Sage's. Indra and Ashura were pretty weak. Hashi and Madara fight way more impressive and destructive.

It was ok, but this ending was really, really bad. Canonically:

Each MS has a unique design, yet the anime gave Indra Sasuke's design despite having his own in the manga.
Asura was using Rasengan, even though it hadn't been invented until 900 or so years after his lifetime.
His having Mokuton was believable, but Shinsuusenju? Come onnnn. The databook did not even hint that Indra had anything to do with that technique.

Shishusenju, wow, so that means that Hagoromo's students knows senjutsu.
That's ok, because the pose of ninshuu is somewhat similar to the one they use to collect natural energy, they don't move they close their eyes.
Ashura's friends sent Ashura some chakra (different natures) infused with nature energy, using the link between their hearts created via ninshuu.
That's what made bloom Mokuton in Ashura, love and cooperation was what allowed him to beat Indra's little Susano'o during their first battle.

We still don't have the explanation for Ashura's avatar.

I don't like the fact that Hago gave power to his son.

Pretty nice,give it 7/10. Still vague on things, such as how Indra/Ashura died which I will continue to say is from age or whatever instead of battle. I had a good laugh with Ashura having RSM, wood release, TSBs, avatar, rasengan ( I liked his variant), etc. and hago being powerless against Indra:lol
Also it gave me a worst outlook on Hago for not noticing Indra talking with BZ. Indra also was foolish to be deceived and manipulated by BZ. Those with power being easily manipulated cliché is tiresome. Then Indra gets MS(I'm not sure if EMS, seemed design may have changed from when he killed his 2 friends to when he fought Ashura and co.) and has Ama, chidori/raikiri, and something on the lines of lightning body flicker (similar to Any?). So many giggles in this filler.

Ok i understand that this arc is filler. But you find a way to explain to me why it isnt cannon when this is all new information? The entire kaguya fill err arc gave everyone what they were asking for.
Indra has sasukes ms.
Ashura has wood style and tso that can tank a PS.
Please explain to me why this is filler.
We all know kishi was rushed to finish the manga for all we know to him this is cannon.

The filler arc was ok but they shouldn't have been handing out chidori and rasengan to these guys since they won't be invented for another 1000 years like wtf
