Ashura’ RSM Explained

Ok so many people have this misconception that Ashura entered rsm without any biju or juubi chakra. I will shed some light on this using the thread.

Ashura received rikudo senjutsu and rsm through ninshu(Wait really? YES). Hagoromo, who was the juubi jinchuriki at the time, used ninshu to link with Ashura, sharing his rikudo senjutsu and giving him rsm. This is supported by:

• Hagoromo’ account of Ashura’ rise to power during his talk with Naruto. His description of what happened matches ninshu through and through(first scan green highlight).

• The reason Hagoromo could recall the event, He was obviously present when they clashed. So he had to have linked with Ashura via ninshu. On top of that, the qualities that made hagoromo choose Ashura as the leader of ninshu are the same for why he was chosen to receive rsm. Go figure.

• The way ninshu was stated and shown to work. Between madara’ statement,

ninshu is shown to be very much capable of having hagoromo cooperate with Ashura by sharing the juubi’ chakra aka rikudo senjutsu.

Now before you jump out the window screaming how the first scan says he awaken power, he rivaled Indra. To that I say yes, he in fact did. The linked chakra from those around Ashura all went to him, and inside of him awaken said powers(red highlight).

That includes hagoromo who had just passed the torch of Ninshu to him. If you don’t like my findings, feel free to refute and suggest some other power that was prevalent during that time, which also works by linking people having them cooperate and working together as the reason for Asura achieving rikudo senjutsu and rsm. All while making sense to the story and using canon material as support. Just as I did.


In conclusion, Ashura needed the juubi’ chakra/power in order enter rsm, and this is how he acquired it.

I think it's deeper than that. Since hago gave his chakra to everyone a piece of that layed dormant . Everyone with a unique key/design/pattern to open the flow of charka... almost like a seal/puzzle . man are the pieces.... the beast where just bigger pieces of the puzzle . Since Naruto had all the pieces and had the uzamki blood of sealing he was able to put them together and creat a door . He achieved something new. He was semi rsm Naruto until hago gave him the ability to the final key to open his personal sages powers or the door Naruto had made with everyone's help or pieces....

I think it's deeper than that. Since hago gave his chakra to everyone a piece of that layed dormant . I think understand what you mean, but then you also have to consider that ninshu ultimately failed and that a portion of the world population never learned ninshu. Even when fast forwarding to present day, there are those who don’t practice ninjutsu.

So inside them wouldn’t be that linking power, rather the potential to have that power.

That’s possible. Especially considering ashura was recently crowned new leader of ninshu. That was his first use of it as leader.

Well technically jinchuriki madara and obito aren’t rikudo sages, instead they’re simply rikudo senjutsu users. Still I agree with the main point that rsm is a hagoromo given power. Ashura got both rikudo senjutsu and rsm at the same time.
