I'm new on this site, (I used to be a member some time ago, but never really posted much) and decided to start out by making a thread revolving around the power of Kakuzu of the Akatsuki, since he's my favorite character in the series

After removing the heart of his victim, Kakuzu implanted them in himself, granting him the elemental affinity of the former owner of the heart. When facing Kakashi and his comrades, Kakuzu had five hearts inside his body, including his own. Each heart was located in a mask, which were implanted into Kakuzu's back.The hearts allowed him to use techniques of 4 Chakra Nature Types, (5 in the anime, the water element was never shown in the manga) including the

, which I will talk more about below. Kakuzu could remove the masks from his body, where they gained their own bodies made out of Kakuzu's threads, allowing them to fight alongside him in battle. Like I stated above, each mask had a heart inside of it, so in case Kakuzu got killed, one of them could implant itself in his body, in order to bring him back to life again, pretty much granting him pseudo-immortality, with the destruction of all 5 hearts being crucial in order to defeat him. His Fire Mask and his Wind masks could combine their elemental attacks, creating powerful blasts which were immensely powerful, and almost impossible to stop.Earth Release: Earth Spear
Like I stated above, Kakuzu gained the Earth Release: Earth Spear Technique through the Earth mask, allowing him to harden his body to a degree where it is almost impossible to damage Kakuzu, unless attacked with attacks of the Lighting ability. It's downside, aside form the weakness to Lightning is the fact that while hardened, Kakuzu's body parts can't be moved. However, even with those two flaws, the technique has been proved to be immensely useful, as it has been stated that without Lightning attacks, it is almost impossible to get through this defense.

Kakuzu could merge with his masks in a way where they came out of his shoulders, giving him the appearance of a three headed, monster like creature. In this form, he could restrain his opponents with his threads, and use the masks to directly attack the opponent with their powerful elemental blast
Another form of his is similar to the one of an octopus. Kakuzu was able to extend his threads to a degree where he took form of a giant octopus like creature. This form was mostly suited for long-range battle, as he could pierce his opponents with the threads from a safe distance, with the threads acting as both an offense and a defense.

Physical Strength
Kakuzu has been shown to possess immense physical strength, to a degree where he was able to and punch down an Iron Gate, when combining his strength with the Earth Grudge Spear. He was also able to send Hatake Kakashi flying with one kick, a testament of his immense raw strength.

Speed
Kakuzu possessed great speed, being able to move faster than visible to the normal eye, as shown when he was able to get to Hidan's decapitated head with an experienced shinobi like Sarutobi Asuma not even being able to react and try to stop him.

Intelligence and Experience
Through his hearts, Kakuzu gained an incredibly long life, being at the age of 91 at his death. After all these years, Kakuzu had pretty much become the most experienced shinobi in existence, granting him an undeniable advantage on the battle field. His long life is also a testament of his great intelligence, which had allowed him to survive all his battles, until his loss against Uzumaki Naruto.
