I think when deidera (idk how to spell his name) does his awaken move is best to just keep doing the mighty push until the awaken wears out (i hate that part i wish the awaken stayed awaken like in nuns 1)

It seems to me that Deidara's awakening can be effectively countered by jumping in circles around his dragon until you find a break in his spamming and then using a long-range jutsu, if the character you're using doesn't have one, then it's best to just keep moving and let the spammer just keep spamming until it wears off, and when it does, run close for an ultimate jutsu, or, if your health is low, awaken. I hate people that spam with Deidara, by the way. >.>

I hate to be the one to tell you this, but the creators of Storm 2 misrepresented Deidara's art by giving people the ability to use it in an annoying and loathsome manner.

spamming shinra tensei isnt really an option, since you can only perform 2 and he doesnt have nockback on the dragon, as far as i know. I'd do it the way demosthenes suggested.

@art: playing deideira isnt really art in this game, since he is quite a bit overpowered and is just spamming the whole time. so the realization of deideira isnt quite accurate ;)

There is nothing overpowered on Deidara. The moves are easy to read and to predict. Not hard to just block the attacks and move close nice and easy and lay down some hard combos and keep the pace up. Deidara is dead meat. Getting up against Deidara means a flawless victory for you.
But as a support character, Deidara is ideal. His big owl has a rather long range, it's large and covers alot of the screen of your opponent. Sure it's easy to block but gives you a chance to surprise your enemy with your own projectile jutsu coming behind that big owl and if you time it right and you're lucky that your opponent is sloppy enough, it lands just nicely ^^

And what comes to Pain being better than Deidara? Ofc it's a matter of the person playing but Pain is clearly overrated, but I would choose Pain over Deidara any day.
Pain has "confusing" combos since they all use different paths of Pains/summons and can sometimes confuse the opponent and disturb their Subtitute timing. Also Pains ultimate jutsu, has the longest range along with Kakashi (propably some others aswell. Haven't had time to test everyone properly). Very hard to see it coming, has a fast execute time and they are also unblockable (not 100% sure, but will check out in the morning so hold your rage ).

Off Topic: I my self like to play with Kisame due to the fact that where his attacks are the slowest along with Choji. His (and Choji's) attacks lay down more dmg than the other characters, and I find this fair and very logical :p Hard characters to play but is alot of fun when you get the idea of it.
Kakuzu has become my new project atm and will try to find the ups and downs.

Zerabitu, though it is possible to use Deidara without spamming, and it is possible to get close to Deidara, most spammers will immediately substitute and spam their long range grabs when you draw near.
This makes most players hesitate when considering playing with someone who chooses Deidara.
Though you know that you are going to be grabbed when near him, dodging it is nearly impossible after a substitution.

Deidara's awakening is easy to counter but that doesn't mean you will always win against it but you can use Minato and dodge real fast

yea i use minato when some person picks deidara but either way i rarely do not let my opponent do their awakenings
Yeah that's one thing you want to prevent but it can also cost you the match since you will try rushing your opponent and he may get some good hits or at least a big hit do awakening and you will not get the chance to activate yours

Yes, and some people don't think.

I'm one to be honest at times, I just love to rush people and attack because it's boring staying back and guarding all the time
