[Suggestion] Art Contest new voting system?

Hello, did you miss me? Yes you did. After doing some demolition work against a GM I am back and I am back in such a strong way. So my idea is simple and after consulting with my Brain(I have a very good brain) I thought we need to change things and we need to change things QUICKLY, that's so important.

One of the problems that the art contest suffers from in my opinion is not being able to distribute the votes properly, let me explain to you what I mean.

You have PICTURE: A, B, C and D. Let's say that A is the best picture but picture B is definitely better than C and D.

With our voting system, This happens very often: A= 9 votes, B=2 votes, C=3 votes, D=0 votes. What's the problem with this? The problem is that because we only have 1 vote, everyone that votes for the best picture can not vote for the second best picture, this means that any other picture just has to receive one or two votes just to beat the second best picture.

I think that we should get 3 votes each, the first vote will be worth 3 points, second vote 2 points, third vote 1 point.In the end the top 3 pictures with the most POINTS wins and get ranked accordingly. With this we will be able to clearly support the second and the third best pictures without worrying that a friend will vote for their friend and overlapping the clear second place. I see a lot of the times people can barley decide between works so I think the majority would use this power in such a good way.

three votes works. on a poll but i dont see how they could determine which was picked first, etc. but i think top three votes would work out, someone won't vote for others, etc.

but also people just need to drop the pity votes and this needs to be posted when voting as well. all the rules on the OP in the vote thread are geared towards the artists but the submissions judging criteria could also help people judge the art

i get why people vote that way. i mean youre trying to make someone else feel better by not letting them get discouraged while at the same time discouraging those whove put in the work and time. good art is subjective, but everyone here has read manga or comics of some sort. they know the difference between levels of skills, the problem is you hurt the other artists feelings by doing this. it ruins the contest because it makes artists not want to try and it looks stupid

No, this is not going going to happen and considering you are so proud of that brain of yours, I will leave it up to you to figure out what exactly is wrong with this suggestion. Both the technical/practical issues that come with it as the theoretical flaws in your reasoning.
