I actually still really hope Mitsuki will turn out to be Toneri's son, it would add so much epic potential to the character. Just imagine him and Boruto both having a hidden Byakugan, to name one thing.

I'm personally hoping Boruto obtains the Tenseigan, considering he is a descendant of both Hagoromo(Naruto) and Hamura(Hinata).

That works too. If Mitsuki IS related to Toneri, perhaps it's possible for him too through some "residual Tenseigan chakra transferred in his genes"- kinda BS.

Cool but I'm 100% sure that Mitsuki has absolutely nothing to do with Toneri. Mitsuki is Mitsuki, he is just a new character that has been introduced to the series.
