It's very Batman Begins-esque. I love it. They are showing Deathstroke alot and have featured Deadshot, Huntress, Count Vertigo, among others.
It hasn't aired yet. -_-

I think this is one of the better reboots of a hero concept.
I really do not see Speedy coming into play anytime soon. Although they already seemed to be setting up the famous Denny O'neil and Neal Adams' Green Lantern/Green Arrow comics in the 70's that got their Censor approved ratings pulled when they had Speedy dealing with a heroin addiction. That little sister has all the disadvantages of but so far none of the advantages of a (potential) sidekick.

Well, that sounds pretty good. Can I jump into the story at this point, or do I need to start at the beginning?

Yeah watching it it's awesome. Finally a hero that kills although i wouldn't call him a hero more of an avenger.

I don't think she'll be a sidekick, but she'll go through the storylines (loosely, minus like fighting. She'll have traits of the character). I love Thea though.
They've casted Roy Harper, so I think he'll be the sidekick when he appears (Either at the end of the first season or the second). I think Roy will skip being Speedy and adopt his Red Arrow/Aresnal persona. He'll probably be dating Thea or something.
I think you can jump into it. All you need to know is that he was stranded on an island, but he's back and now a badass.
However, I think some episodes are really worth watching. They introduce reccuring characters and establish relationships. Plus, alot of minor things happen with people getting kidnapped, people finding important things, etc...
Now that I think about it, I'd watch the episodes, but won't kill you to jump into it tonight and catch up later.
