I enjoy Arrow for the most part, but I've noticed something growing that's a little annoying. A lot of the villains are borrowed from Batman. Deathstroke was Batman's villain before he fought Green Arrow, Ra's sought Bruce to be his heir not Oliver, Anarky, Deadshot, then
they make it seem like felicity will be crippled and working the computer, like Oracle, from Batman
Now I do get why, even as a comic fan I'm not that familiar with GA villains aside from Merlin and them both being humans fighting crime need human villains but it's getting a little old seeing Ollie's biggest threats being Batman threats. Flash doesn't borrow enemies from Batman or Green Lantern.

Well they're not going to make a present day Batman show and Batman has great villains. As long as it's not turf war villains beyond a cameo (getting Penguin would be cool) I'm fine.

It doesn't matter to me unless they show logical things. Season 4 was entertaining to be honest, except Laurel Lance(like always).
Btw Arrow TV show is indeed inspired from Batman, the way I see it. Flash on the other hand isn't.

The Green Arrow doesn't really have a lot of well known villains, so they're using Batman ones, which are more popular.
I know they're not as popular but this shows success had a chance to push them and it chose not to, Cupid was good and they let her go already, Vertigo is good, they could have done a whole season focusing on China White. It just would have been nice to see some emphasis on these lesser known characters and see them get a push. They could have kept Bronze Tiger more in the mix, he's a good fighting opponent for Ollie and he's not a Batman centric villain. What really bugged me was the Ra's story line and ripping it right from Batman, the characters are acceptable when their own spin is put on it but they straight just took a Batman story and replaced Bruce with Ollie, it was a let down creative-wise.

Plot Twist
Tommy will be the Jason Todd and will become Green Hood!
I'm pretty sure Tommy will be coming back at some point.

1. Deathstroke isn't a batman villain....he is a teen titan villain
2. Deadshot is part of suicide squad....so it would be silly to have suicide squad and not have deadshot....ra's was bad and they shouldn't have done him but fans did demand that BEFORE season 3....
3."Flash doesn't borrow enemies from Batman or Green Lantern.".....thats because flash's rogue gallery is just as good if not better than batman's unlike GA

Deadshot debuted in Batman then went to Suicide Squad

Teen Titans were headed by Batman's old partner so in a round about way he's still a Batman-centric villain also his biggest competition from a hero is in the form of Batman, Deathstroke doesn't fight Cyborg or Wonder Woman or Aquaman a lot, he fights Batman most often.

Flash has a big list of villains but I don't think I'd say they're as good and definitely not better, and I like Flash but really none of his rogues should pose much of a serious threat 1v1, the rogues are most effective as a team. Imo Batman and Spiderman have the best cast of villains in comics.

still is a big part of suicide squad and would be dumb not to have him in SS just because couple of pissy batman fans
"Teen Titans were headed by Batman's old partner" and??? it means literally nothing and going by your logic deathstroke did appear in TT first....also deathstoke has had few scuffles with GA
All in all deathstroke and deadshot and every DC villains are part of DC meaning Arrow can literally use anyone in DC as long as WB and DC are ok with it....
True batman does edge flash but that gap isn't that big unlike GA....

By my logic? It's a fact, that I acknowledged by the way, that he first appeared in TT. I never said he was intro'd in Batman I said he was a Batman-centric villain as in that's his main hero rival, Batman. He debuted fighting a group led by a Batman protégé, and he fights Batman in a lot of other comics, more than the few fights with Green Arrow. That was my point.

I never said they shouldn't include him in SS stories I was simply showing instances where they brought in a villain created for or popularized by Batman in favor of a GA original.

Of course they can because it's a connected world but it'd be nicer to see more GA villains get pushed then maybe then can get some of the recognition of Batman's villains. Plus it's not like they're stretching for their takes either, they could have Ollie and company fight Grodd from Flash or have Ollie as Ollie compete against Lex in a business and hero/villain aspect if they wanted. It doesn't have to just be Batman but it seems that it is.

One reason why I quit the show. GA is an amazing character and they throw all his qualities (villains and attitude, mainly attitide) out for Batman things. Love Batman, but I have a Batman show and movie. Real shame that Flash can be Flash, Supergirl can be Supergirl, etc..., but Arrow is just Batman-lite.

Yeah I thought maybe we'd get to see some banter between Ollie and Carter when they appeared together but they didn't even bother hinting at them having conflicting personalities that I remember.

Yes, Gotham. It is a Batman prequel, which might turn people off, but I love it to death. It is a very fun show. It is a black comedy-crime-villian kind of show. It is a mix of Tim Burton's Batman, the animated series, and Batman 66.

Yeah it's been a pretty good show, the first season started off a little rocky but it got better.
