Pre Intro:
So i have been doing religion studies in college. And am researching the known religion of the Sikhs. I have found out that it has to be the most logical religion out there, out of all of them. Yes it is a religion with its traditions and so on. But over half of the traditions done by the people who follow the religion, are not in the religion itself. Sadly , Sikhs are now not "Sikhs" but "fake Sikhs". The Religion is based from Punjab, India.
The thing that intrigued me the most is their 10th Guru, Guru Gobind Singh. One of the most inspirational men I have read about in my life. (Next religion of study is Christianity, though i wanted to pick Islam)

The 10th Guru
I'm not going to go into details and all that, but just going to list some of the events or things that happened to him and that he achieved or did. Also some of his quotes.

Tragic Events:
- At the age of 9, when the pandits (Hindu priests) arrived to his dad (the 9th Guru), they told the 9th guru that someone who was a big time religious man , strong on his believes and so on is the only one that can save our caste/religion, by going to talk to Arugenzab (the emperor of the Mughal Empire in India). Gobind Singh came from playing and asked his dad what the pandits wanted, and his dad told him. So Gobind replied by saying "There is no bigger holy man than you father, you must go and save the religion of these poor defenseless people". So the 9th guru after all the torturing and so on didn't go back on his words and religion and ended up getting beheaded. (there is a whole emotional story to this, that you should read up) . So at the Age of 9 he lost his father and became the 10th Guru.
- Raised an army called the "Khalsa" aka "Pure ones" to defend the poor against the mughal empire , and became one of the most wanted men by the mughal empire. But also loved by Hindus and Muslims, so the empire couldn't really do anything.
- Lost his younger 2 sons and his mother, who separated from him in the flooded river of Sarsa. And these 2 were less than the age of 10 , and were martyrs. Because they were the sons of Gobind Singh they were beheaded but only after having their knees and skin scrapped off. But they to did not turn on the faith of Sikhism. The mother also died after the deaths of her grandsons.
- Lost his older 2 sons in battle of chamkaur (the night before the battle had begun, the Guru himself stayed awake at night and kept guard so his sikhs could sleep , since they had a battle to fight. While the Sikhs slept the Guru went to each of them and thanked them for being with him till their death, and if one of them had a turban loose, in which he himself saw them get killed. The story is that the oldest (age 19) one went into the battle , so the 2nd oldest (age 14-15) came to his father (gobind singh) and asked him if he could go fight like his brother did. So the 10th guru approved, but the 2 Singhs (singhs is reference to people who have taken Amrit, all males who take the amrit change their last names to singh) on the door stopped the 2nd eldest son and told the guru to not send the 14 year old to battle, and that he was only thing he had left to carry his legacy on. BUT the guru said, "are you claiming that I love my sons more than I love my sikhs, who gave their lives for me when I asked them?". So the door was opened and the 14 year old son went to battle, and his dad the 10th guru got on top of the castle and started to shoot arrows at the enemies, while watching his son battle and die.
Seeing as the sikhs were outnumbered by a whole lot, couple of the sikhs requested the guru to leave the battlefield. Saying that he could raise many more lions and give them weapons. But they won't be able to find another Guru like him. So on their request he left, but he left through the middle of the field. Since it was dark, the Sikhs were collecting up the dead bodies of their soldiers. So as the Guru was walking down and looking at his Singhs that had died in the battle, along the way he spots one of the main sikhs putting a white cloth over the dead body of his son. When the Guru sees this he says, " Stop, what are you doing? If you want to put a cloth over their dead bodies, then put it over all the bodies of the sikhs that have been killed. "
Later on the Guru is reunited with his wives who were also seperated from him at the Sarsa river. One of them asks, "where are my sons?".They Guru replies to her (while pointing at the khalsa/sikhs), "In Putran ke sees pur vaar diye suth chaar, chaar gaye to kya huya jeevat kahi hazaare" (For these sons (sikhs) I sacrificed 4 sons, So what if those 4 are gone the thousands are still alive.)

Quotes:
In regards to the human life :
At the age of ten, he is a child; at twenty, a youth, and at thirty, he is called handsome. At forty, he is full of life; at fifty, his foot slips, and at sixty, old age is upon him. At seventy, he loses his intellect, and at eighty, he cannot perform his duties. At ninety, he lies in his bed, and he cannot understand his weakness. After seeking and searching for such a long time, O Nanak, I have seen that the world is just a mansion of smoke.
In regards to greed:
"Why impress false religion on the world? It will be of no service to it.
Why run about for the sake of wealth? You cannot escape from death.
Son, Wife, friends, disciples, companions none of those will bear witness for thee.
Think, O think, you thoughtless fool, you shall have in the end to depart alone."
In regards to his Khalsa:
All the battles I have won against tyranny
I have fought with the devoted backing of the people;
Through them only have I been able to bestow gifts,
Through their help I have escaped from harm;
The love and generosity of these Sikhs
Have enriched my heart and home.
Through their grace I have attained all learning;
Through their help in battle I have slain all my enemies.
I was born to serve them, through them I reached eminence.
What would I have been without their kind and ready help?
There are millions of insignificant people like me.
True service is the service of these people.
I am not inclined to serve others of higher caste:
Charity will bear fruit in this and the next world,
If given to such worthy people as these;
All other sacrifices are and charities are profitless.
From toe to toe, whatever I call my own,
All I possess and carry, I dedicate to these people.
CONCLUSION
If there are any Sikhs on here, please correct me if I have any information wrong. It was a pleasure doing research on the sikh religion. There are so many more things that were fascinated me. But this man stood out the most, he seemed like "the perfect man". He embodied chivalry, religion, morals, writer, martial arts. So he is arguably the greatest prophet I have studied about or know.
I am doing my next research on Christianity, and all its prophets and will post if anything sticks out to me.
