Are you willing to visit China if you're available?

Last year i had the opportunity to go to China and stay there for a while (something like student exchange program).
I would have got to live in a chinese family and learn about how they live etc.
But the biggest problem was that i am fully vegetarian and it would be really difficult for me to survive in china like that.

Actually it's real in China mainland but not in Taiwan, Hong kong and Macau. I'm a Chinese in mainland and sometimes we're gonna breakthrough the firewall by vpn setting or somehow to view YouTube ,twitter or fb. But there are also many replacements as social communicative application.

I see,local alternatives in your own language.I read that baidu is like Chinese google.

I went to china last year, not every place in it good, but where i went it was AMAZING i went to beijing!! Its like new york it has everything ,its a good place to go as a tourist!

because i was a vegetarian and i wont be able to survive there, i dropped the idea and dropped the opportunity as well.

I would go to China if i could, cause why not? Maybe learn Kung fu or something.. Haha! Here when we think about Chinese people, we imagine a lot of you and that you pretty much all look the same. The good thing is that we think that you're all smart and know kung fu!

They are really interested in foreigners. Like, they'll take pictures of you and with you and everything.

You have to be careful with your electronics though, we all know how their government is.

I would like to go at a certain point, I would stick out like a sore thumb but it would be a great experience.

Probably, although I hear selling, pick pocketing, and some other things are problems for tourists. I'm always open to see new areas and meet new people.
