I think it's hilarious when a person says they don't care about a character but posts 10 times in reference to them in a single thread lol.

ot: His characters complete and he's one of the few that Kishimoto never ruined in any aspect. So, yeah. I'm pretty sure that everyone should be satisfied. The fact that Kishimoto could even pull off a second departure that was emotional, just like the first one is impressive alone. Bringing Itachi back a third time would waste that all imo and he has no reason to be around anymore. He had his time, it's over, and it was great. U_U

e finally showed his love for Sasuke, saved his life, defeated Kabuto, ended the war.

he fiinally showed he hated sauske by lying to him yet again with delusions, saved nothing, condemned the alliance to defeat and made the war worse.

He is the only character in the series to have 2 noble deaths.

His leave was most fitting. Kishi honored him quite admirably, Itachi died, and returned to death, with honor, love, and sacrifice.

The Edo Tensei was released, a major win for the SA.

the edo tensei was released, which achieved nothing and spelled complete defeat for the SA given it released madara from the only person capable of restraining him. plus it was a major waste of time. why did itachi go after obitos subordinate when he could have been fighting obito and STOPPING A GOD BEING REBORN?
whatever he saved by ending ET, fukin died anywya a few chapters later in 613.

Perhaps most importantly, he admitted his error in trying to manipulate Sasuke and gave Sasuke what he really needed: unconditional love and acceptance.

wrong. what sasuke needed was a slap in the face for being an evil genocidal madman and execution for his brutal crimes.
itachi only regretted manipulatng sasuke because it didnt turn out how itachi wanted. itachi wouldnt have said anything if sasuke ended up brainwashed by KA. he'd cheer and say job well done.

As evil as Kabuto had become, Itachi managed to stop him and simultaneously give him a chance to redeem himself.
