How well do you know your friends or those closest to you?
We all hide behind masks of emotions, we at times don't want people to know how we're feeling so we don't draw attention to ourselves.
Here is a test to all you NB'ers to see how well you can spot a fake smile;
Most people are surprisingly bad at spotting fake smiles. One possible explanation for this is that it may be easier for people to get along if they don't always know what others are really feeling.
Although fake smiles often look very similar to genuine smiles, they are actually slightly different, because they are brought about by different muscles, which are controlled by different parts of the brain.
I got 18/20 on the test. The best way to tell if a person is faking a smile, is by their eyes. The eyes never lie.
This is to help you understand, to step up. If you feel that someone you know may be feeling sad, don't ignore it because are the "happy-go-lucky" type and they will be okay the next day. Ask them if they are okay before it's too late.
You'll never know they may be suffering from depression.
Take the test and post your results.
