Doesn't mean that he inherited half of his overall power. The rest became irrelevant ever since the Sage gave them half his power, along with his Senjutsu and the Rinnegan. Indra was explicitly shown with Sharingan, not Rinnegan, and Naruto has the Sage's Senjutsu, something Ashura didn't have.

I'd give you that, if there was 100% certainty that what he used were the same Gudo Dama that wielder's of the Juubi's power use.

There is little evidence to say he didn't have MS considering his descendants, who all get the Sharingan from him, are able to awaken such on their own. There is little evidence to say he didn't have MS when at least MS is needed to use Susanoo let alone EMS.

On the other hand, there is no statement or implication that he had Rinnegan, in fact it was shown otherwise when Indra's power is only one half of the equation.

Wrong. Indra doesn't carry Hagoromo's chakra. It was clearly stated that Ashura's chakra plus Indra's chakra would bring out Hagoromo's chakra, so one can't be the same as the product.
