OMFG!!! I just got the FBI Computer Virus. Thinking of getting rid of my laptop now.


By grace of God, I manage to do f8, system restore.. which got rid of it. Reinstalled Norton and doing a full system scan. Still, I'm not even trusting this laptop anymore.




I don't know whether to be f ucking mad or scared.

You can give system restore a try, or you can try a piece of software called Malwarebytes to clean your computer.

If all else fails, you'd have to format the entire harddrive and reinstall your OS.

Norton? Not even worth it. You can use free software, that is just as effective such as malwarebytes and avg.

Glad I could be of assistance.
In the future, it might be a good idea to find a good firewall/antivirus or two and use them instead of Norton (don't even bother with Windows Security either. It sucks xd).

I currently use Comodo Internet Security, which is both a firewall and an antivirus, along with Malwarebytes to regularly clean my harddrive.

You might also want to try using a piece of software called CCleaner to clean up your computer's registry and recent internet files. This would probably get rid of any parts of the virus that are still lingering around your internet browser's files.

Best thing to do is not to panic. It seems intimidating, but I can assure you that the FBI is not watching your computer activity. They have better things to do. xd
