Are we sure Minato is gone?

Well, for me I think Minato teleported all the Black balls away with him to another location, AND then he teleports back without being crushed by it.

If Minato got destroyed by it, then what happens next? They need Minato, but it will take a while before Obito, Sakura and Naruto goes back to the real world after Naruto has been talking with so6p or someone else he meets, but same as Team Oro as well. Minato with no arms seems hopeless, however he was able to analyse Madara's tech very well about the Black Spheres and its weakness, so he is still worth to be there.

Guy used his most OP attack on Madara and now Madara is still alive who wants to battle more against Guy. He will soon die, or maybe tomorrow's next chapter.... Anything can just happen in Kishi's manga, like more flashbacks or he just switch to Shikamaru's place while he goes with the Spiral Zetsu to keep Guy alive for 2 or 3 more chapters. I would be surprised if he survives more than 5 minutes of fighting with 8th Gate Open.

Any thoughts?

well minato did say that madara loses control over the black sphere over a large distance. He can not control them if they are too far away from him. So minato probably took them where he can't control it meaning that uncontrolled sphere can't hit on minato. Minato is still going to be able to help

Yea I was thinking that also....but I was confused a bit. The BB's were meant to hit Gai. Minato was closer to Madara than Gai. So wouldn't Minato definitely feel the effects of the attack?

What I mean is Madara knew Gai was within the range of his attack....Minato being in front of Gai at a closer range is definitely feeling the effects of the BB's, correct?

Lets say Gai was at the maximum of 70m where the BB's lose their effectiveness, Minato....who was closer to Madara surely wasn't beyond that range, right? Idk....we will see tomorrow. >_O

Minato must have taken some damage when he got hit. But when he teleported himself, there wouldn't be any further damage because those black spheres aren't in control of Madara anymore.
So even after teleportation, if he gets destroyed further then he will recover to the point when he was destroyed before teleportation.

Yeah this was exactly my line of thinking when I saw what Minato did. I think he teleported the black balls away and then immediately teleported to another place, basically the exact same thing he did to save Naruto from Obito's paper bombs after Naruto's birth.

He might have teleported them before Madara could make a killing command with them.

I don't think Minato is gone just yet. We'd have seen him being destroyed if it were so.

The next time we see him, I expect we'll either see him recovering from damage (if the orbs didn't merely brush his cloak) or he'll be just fine. Considering how fast FTG is, I wouldn't doubt him being able to teleport the orbs away and then himself afterwards to avoid severe damage.

I don't think he's gone, he probably teleported them 70m+ like he said.

He teleported those orbs to the ocean.
But like the terminator..
He'll be back.

He probably just has minor holes in him. He definitely isn't erased by Onmyoudon.
