Let me lay down the foundation. How do I look at myself and emotions in general?

Think of a blank living puppet. The puppet can think, it can breathe and it's heart is beating. We want the puppet to survive and pass down it's DNA, what do we do to ensure that? Imagine if you take various chemicals and insert it in it's brain, lets call these chemicals: Boredom,Fear,Anger,Happiness etc

These chemicals as a whole will be called emotions and will serve a great purpose, just to give you an example:

Happiness: The experience of feeling good will motivate the puppet to seek a better life, better relationships and self improvement to experience this emotion again. As a result the puppet will be in a better condition to survive and pass down your DNA

Fear: This emotion will make the puppet want to put distance between itself and the thing it thinks is a threat, it will allow it to be more cautious and not to make stupid decisions like trying to fight a Gorrilla.

Boredom: This strongly motivates us to do something out of the norm, to make something, to be productive. This helps the whole human race advance with technologies and many other ways.

In conclusion: This is sad but I think that we will never find "happiness" as happiness is a chemical reaction in your brain, no matter how long you live for you will go through the negative emotions no matter how good your life is. There is no destination to reach, we can never be happy till the day we die.The emotions we feel like "Love" "Fear" are not really anything special but chemicals, even when you know this you can't fight the feelings. We are slaves to our emotions, our decisions are based on them, how can we say we have true free will when everything we do is because of emotions.

What are your opinions about humans and emotions in general?

You can live with a clear conscience and little to no stress.

The only people that are slaves to their emotions are those that enable behavior good or bad

If you pretend that you are an external force in your own life, then sure, why not. Otherwise, I'm not a slave to my emotions, because they are generally counted under the heading of "Me"

No because rationalism destroys emotions. You should look up behavoralism, there is a scary scene in the movie animatrix where robots twist certain points in peoples brains making them cry or laugh based on their will but I don't think life is that simple and people are that dumb.

No. Why are people afraid of things that they know will never hurt them? Why are people afraid of roller coasters even though they know the chances of them dying are 1 in many millions.

Why are people so sad after a RATIONAL relationship breakup which would be the best for both side?

No, emotions shape who we are (personality) and keeps us alive - that is if USA/UK/RUSSIA doesn't drop a nuke on our heads or an IS lunatic doesn't blow us up first.
