I found the video very interesting Neil deGrasse Tyson was a great director I agree with some of his work and disagree with others but he's a real outstanding guy , so whats your opinion on this topic is it possible that we are living in a type of computer simulation of some type?

Yea I've heard that a simulation theory actually has a high percentage chance of actually being true as well as other wierd scientific theories on the creating of the universe and stuff like that

It's sort of unscientific to say we are. I mean, after all, isn't science about being able to falsify theories?

We only assume we're in a simulation because we believe we can eventually make a simulation that would essentially be a reality for some. And if so, then we have to question if we're in one ourselves. This is all just based on an assumption that we can create sentient beings.

And even if we were, we cannot prove it scientifically, and if we got out (which you can't because it makes no sense to think your program can spring to life and jump out of a simulation), we wouldn't be sure that the reality we find is not just an even more complex simulation (an infinite loop of simulations).

This is stupid sensationalism in my opinion, and people are being hypocrites when they entertain this yet attack religion.

But not that we are living in a computer simulation, but again, who knows... lol

I'd quite agree with it if science were not in favour of those who inject money for research. Moreover, even if something were discovered, it probably would not be made public immediately, although at some point in the story it would be disclosed. In addition, science is ideally always in progress, never something static.

Answering the topic, i think they ar watching too much matrix. lol I believe in existence after death and that there are other planes of existence. Not necessarily heaven and hell or something related to religion, only that consciousness is beyond the body. So it may be that in a future or past we have been in other dimensions of existence. But who knows...
