Are we being to hard on Kishi?

As a digital art major, I totally understand how much effort Kishimoto puts into his work. Drawing and developing stories takes such a long time, and it can be a pain. However, that doesn't mean that his work shouldn't be criticized. Sure, he's not going to see our critiques, but it can be helpful to other users who aspire to be storytelling artists as well. Bashing Kishimoto is wrong, but giving insight on opinions isn't. Or at least, that's my view of it.

lol, it'd probably be the best you could do for him, actually. Without him, you wouldn't have been able to have that picture, signature, and this site wouldn't exist. How about you stop being inconsiderate and think of others? He knows what he started, but he still struggles from it. Every mangaka does. It's pretty ****ed up to say he's nothing important other than providing entertainment. I don't know where some of you people get off thinking this kind of shit.

anime for one piece is hard to get into. And also, people hate on Naruto fillers.. OP has twice as many fillers.

I watched the whole OP anime. There couldn't be more than 100 episodes of filler.

Kishimoto already explains here why he writes the manga. Or atleast what he wants people to take away from it. And it sure ain't the action.

Tbh, that message has been portrayed since episode 1. Kishi has put some useful advice to take away from naruto, maybe that's why I feel more connected to the characters such as; itachi, naruto etc more than say OP or bleach characters.

+ Idek why people moan about the manga...the anime always makes up for it anyways...this war arc has been amazing so far in anime.

Most NB users criticise each chapter when things don't go the way they want it to, or when there fav character get pawned, so I wouldn't pay much attention to them...

Only thing that can be criticised in the mana is the concept of "power of friendship" which is being over-used and shoved down our throats...if that stopped, the manga would go smoothly and be perfect IMO.

So? It's about being appreciative. I don't know if it's just that I was raised differently, but I thought it was common sense to appreciate things you like. You don't have to know someone to appreciate their contribution to anything in the world. Saying that is like saying "Oh, I never knew Martin Luther King Jr. and he never did anything for me personally so I guess he can **** off". You see what I mean?

That's what I was referring to. I understand what you mean, and you have a point; he enjoys drawing this manga, and he chose to do it. It's practically his life, as he's stated. However, there's nothing wrong with showing a bit of sympathy to a guy who's afraid to stop drawing because he won't know what to do with his life afterwards, works really hard every week to bring content to everyone, and can't spend as much time as he'd like to with his family. I'm just saying that people are really a bit too hard on the guy considering that they don't really set aside the time to think about his struggle.

i think some people can be very harsh on naruto especially when the people who dis naruto claim series like dbz to be the best manga ever yet both naruto and dbz suffer from similar problems

like bringing characters back from the dead
only the main characters are worth a damn
characters from part 1 forgotten about in part 2
no op female fighters

but what i think is more important is, are you still able to enjoy a series despite its flaws as they all have them

Yeah no manga is perfect, idk what goes through some NB users minds lol. Most of the time they are complaining because it never went the way they wanted it to, or are just butthurt when their fav character gets shot down. I think most users just come on here to troll or rustle a few jimmies about the manga or at least I hope they do lol.

i think thats the case with many (not all) as i find it weird if you aint happy with the manga why spend your time on a forum dedicated to the series unless you just wanna annoy a bunch of guys and girls on a forum

i never said people couldn't discuss things they don't like, just that i've seen many users do nothing but bash the series non stop and never say anything positive so i gotta question their motives in joining a forum about a series they no longer care for. if i don't like something i don't deliberately join a forum to bash whatever i don't like as its a waste of my time you'd think people would rather spend their time doing stuff they enjoy

Sometimes being harsh is the only way to show you care,if nearly everything that goes on this is pure positive pandering then it would be pretty boring.

yes i get that, but i've seen some users who seem to only bash so i question, why are they here. theres a difference between pointing out flaws, discussing what you're unhappy with and just straight up insulting the series.
i am no dictator so by all means insult the seres, hate the series all i will do is not pay attention as you bring it upon yourself for reading something you don't like. (<---this isnt targeted at you just whoever falls into the category)
