Ah, but you see what is the term "traitor" amung the Uchiha? The Uchiha clan as a whole were mostly traitors. Traitors to the Leaf, as they were planning a Coup d'état. Madara was rejected by his clan, and his ego caused his downfall, so I could agree he was a traitor. Obito was betrayed and brainwashed by Madara, he cant be called a "traitor" exactly. Itachi was simply a hero, without him the Uchiha clan would have all been dubbed traitors. Sasuke is an avenger, torn between the long-term struggle between Madara, the Uchiha, and the leaf Elders; he also cant be dubbed a "traitor".

Plus lets not get into the whole "the more emotional an Uchiha gets, the stronger they get", as that can over-complicate this discussion.

Sorry sir, Konoha betrayed the Uchiha. By Konoha I'm referring to its leaders. Who put the Uchiha (co-founders of Konoha) in a corner? oh yes the leaders. Who put the blame of everything about the Kyuubi attack on the Uchiha? oh yes the leaders.

At this point, Uchiha had the right to coup against the government. Uchiha protected the village, that is a fact even Hiruzen acknowledges. Fugaku could've gone on a rampage destroying buildings, since he already knew what Itachi chose.. but he didn't.

UCHIHA didn't like the GOVERNMENT..... Government DOES NOT = the Village.
