Ot: there's not really a faction that's in between Jedi and sith but many people have been. It's more of a phase than a faction.every sith that was a Jedi went thru a phase of being half Jedi/sith

Yeah, there's a faction called grey jedi who don't affiliate with neither groups. But some can use powers of both sides

There are dark Jedi like Asajj Ventress who wasn't exactly a Sith because there can be only two, but she used the dark side. There was also a character in The Clone Wars animated series named Bariss Offee who stopped being a Jedi because she felt the republic and Jedi counsel were corrupt. She started using the dark side of the force but she didn't actually affiliate with the Sith. She'd also be considered a dark Jedi.

Ot: jedi, grey, Sith, nuetral black robes or even jedi who just so happens to dawn the black means nothing although the darker the robes for force sensitives implies their polarization.

Or force sensitive but untapped like leia was before Luke's tutelage
