No. The events in the novels are a mere extension of the manga, but are not completely connected to it. Readers are free to interpret the events that occur in them however they would like.

I would like to say no , but if kishi refers to the novels in the manga or a new databook then they do become canon.

Kishi didn't even touch those novels, neither has he made a sepefic statement implying so.they were written by other manga artistes as someone said in here.
