Are 'Stolen' Powers really so bad?

Yeah, I would classify Hashirama under him also. Kabuto didn't count them as part of his power personally because he was most likely referring to how he was actually pretty damn strong himself without the edos, and it's a different fight with Kabuto completely. Like, I doubt Naruto considers Gamabunta part of his own power but that doesn't stop him from summoning him.

The point of this thread is that Edo Tenseis are basically just summonings and aren't as controversial and 'cheaty' as people make them out to be. If Kakazu's hearts, animal summonings, Nagato's six paths of Pain and Akamaru are counted as fair then so should characters who borrow powers like Danzo and Kabuto.

No, DSM Kabuto said "there is no shinobi alive today who is as powerful as the First Hokage, Senju Hashirama". It wasn't a personal comparison, so don't make up fake reasons as to why he would put himself under Hashirama. It's either Hashirama > DSM Kabuto + his Edos (which you know isn't true) or Edos aren't counted as the person's own power.

Let me ask you, is it the gun that killed the human, or the human that killed the human? Better yet, is the gun the human's own power?

Furthermore, (hypothetically speaking) if Konohamaru summoned Hiruzen and ended up defeating the likes of Tsunade, Jiraiya, and Mei, Konohamaru > Tsunade, Jiraiya, and Mei?

The human killed the person. The gun is a tool and therefore the person's own power.

Konohamuru would be.

Wait wait what no serious typo I meant I would class Kabuto under Hashirama also as well as SO6P my bad- my post makes sense now :')

Hashirama and the Sage (if he does exist) are both stronger than Kabuto, I can admit that. I'm not some crazed fanboy like you probably expect- I know what he is and isn't capable of.

And I would be fine if Konohamaru did that :') It's a ninja world. They're ninjas. If Konohamaru worked out a way to do that then kudos to him. His grandfather's power can be used to his own advantage.

I think it's bad, imagine you have a great great power to make girls fall for you and you can control them what ever you desire, then you died then someone stole your power what would you do???

Nothing. You'd be dead...

Exactly. When the villains do it it's 'evil' and 'cheating' but then clearly ignore the fact that everyone steals everything in this show.

Kakashi is literally a jutsu thief for example.

No, once again you're dodging a part of it. It's either Hashirama > DSM Kabuto + his Edos (which you know isn't true) or Edos aren't counted as the person's own power.

So you admit that it's Hiruzen's power and not Konohamaru's power? You're dodging the question yet again, would Konohamaru be > Tsunade, Mei, and Jiraiya?

/thread.

Dodging the question? Jesus christ calm down. Konohamaru makes it his power by being able to control the abilities of his grandfather- it's a summoning. It's an ability. Imagine if Naruto had summoned Gamabunta in the Sasuke fight, would that be counted as part of his abilities? Yes. Would he have crushed Sasuke? Yes.

Also i'm honestly not understanding where you're going with this Hashirama point. Yes. I know Hashirama is stronger than Dragon Sage Kabuto plus his Edo Army- I KNOW that.

And also like Immortal Itachi said, the gun is in that person's control and is thus his power. The gun couldn't shoot the person alone, the gun is giving the shooter the ability to shoot another person. The gun argument isn't a winner here.

You can not truly count Orochimaru's power as stolen because he had to develop a jutsu to be able to take power. There was actual work involved in acquiring the power.

Definitely, there was also much work on Kabuto's part to finish the research, perfect the jutsu and then go collect all of the bodies. He EARNED that army and so did Oro.

I still fell that Orochimaru earned his power more then Kabuto, that does not mean Kabuto did not earn his power though.

@Bold No he is not. Hashirama is #1, yes, but he's not above DSM Kabuto (who on his own is #5-6 in my top 10) and his Edos (which would include Edo Nagato (who's already #4 on my top 10)) and Edo Itachi (who, when alive, was tied for #8 on my top 10, as an Edo he'd be... #7))).

The fact that you'd put Hashirama above DSM Kabuto with all of his Edos just to say that Edos are counted as the user's own power...

To answer the thread question, no, I don't think that 'stolen' powers are bad at all. Powers in the manga are given their worth by how well a character uses them. Kakashi is praised as the copy ninja because of his skill in using the sharingan, according to Itachi, as if he were an Uchiha himself (minus the chakra drainage.) Kabuto and Orochimaru did not simply take DNA and stick it into themselves, as it took a lot of research and trial/error to gain their results. Many lives were sacrificed for them to master the application of mokuton to individuals, and the same can probably be said for Kabuto's acquisition of all his powers in his snake form. What they did not sacrifice in physical training they more than made up for in mental training. That should be commendable.

As long as an individual uses their 'stolen' power with skill, I don't see a problem with it. Everything is a tool used to survive a world of constant battle.

Me? Not at all I have never bashed Sasuke once.

And not a fail thread at all, it's a genuine question that needs to be cleared up- don't be such a d*ck about it.

What? No.... Hashirama is quite clearly a godlike character in this manga, there's no arguing that. I'm sure he could win through pure amazing strength. Kabuto can heal but Hashirama literally has the power to crush him so fast and with so much power that there's nothing to recover FROM. With all the treatment Kishimoto gives Hashirama (and im sure we'll see more) Hashirama would find a way to defeat Kabuto. That is my genuine opinion & I don't get why you're choosing to make such a big deal out of it.

I do not have problems with "stolen" powers...If we extend the meaning; everything you got from the birth should considered as "stolen" from your parents; including blood-line limits and even your limbs, since you have not worked for gaining them. And when Kabuto took those powers; he did not cause anyone to lose any powers; so he kinda borrowed them, and he did not claimed them as if he always had them; also he made an effort to apply those powers...I am not saying what he did was 100% ethical; but it is ninja world and people always tend to do worst s**t.
