Those are probably the uchiha obito killed. Besides, they were all gone during the kyuubi attack. Apparently they do things as a little family.

Obito, Sasuke, Edo Madara, and possibly Shisui (didn't they say they could not find his body or something... or was it he was found drowned... either way it makes no sense, because they could still not find his body for Edo Tensei).

but if you wander of with visual prowess like that... it would be very easy for another village to take you down and steal your eyes. The uchiha were much safer living as 1 clan without wondering off, that is...until itachi killed them all.

For the Leaf to cancel all their missions so that everyone is home would be really suspicious. I don't get how some Uchiha weren't out of the village. If they were, maybe Obito tracked them down? Who knows but it's always seemed off to me too.
