In the series there are geniuses of different skills. Some are well rounded, some are only in specific areas. Whole clans were sometimes considered geniuses because of this.
For instance. The Uzumaki Clan was seen as geniuses in fuinjutsu, as they could preform complex seals with superior speed and power. The Senju Clan was seen as geniuses in ninjutsu in general, as many of them had different affinities (known ones being earth, water, fire, and I think lightning). The Uchiha were seen as geniuses in genjutsu and shurikenjutsu as they had a dojutsu that specialized in casting it and analyzing movements. The Hyuga were seen as geniuses in taijutsu, as they created their own deadly and unique CQC fighting style with their dojutsu. Those are just some examples as far as clans being seen as genius in one field compared to other regular shinobi.
On a more individual level you do have characters like Hashirama, Madara, Hiruzen, Orochimaru, Minato, Kakashi, Itachi, Shisui, Neji, Lee, Shikamaru, Sasuke, and maybe even Sakura, Sarada, and Boruto that have all been stated to be above average or genius' at some point in the series. We all know pretty much why they were/are considered to be above average/genius, so I'm not going to list them.. By definition, yes. Sasuke and Sarada are considered to be genius. Sasuke was always analytic and tactful in battle, even before his sharingan. Sarada is the same way and with just 1T. Itachi at their age had 3T to aid him, so that either goes against him in some regard, or just shows how much he had to endure due to his skill and people thrusting him to the frontline. So, that brings me back to the whole clan members are genius in specific areas thing. By default, Sasuke and Sarada are genius because they have are from the Uchiha Clan and eventually awakened Sharingan. They were already above average in intelligence (as it was stated), but once they became skilled members of their clan they really soared. Itachi was a genjutsu and shirikenjutsu master at age 10 I believe, but also had Kage level understanding that goes perhaps even to when he was 8. Sasuke had 3T at age 12 and had a shat ton of speed feats, fire and lighting affinity, and was quite skilled in shirikenjutsu. His analytical and tactical abilities were one of the best in K11 along side Shikamaru and Sakura. Sarada only has 1T and has shown more feats of sharingan abilities than either of them at age 10-12 (I'm assuming that's the time frame, could be wrong) from genjutsu casting, ninjutsu copying, and predicting movements for her team... her ability in analysis and tact are also one of the best in the new gen K11. All of them seem to be pretty genius even for Uchiha standards.
