Are Rasengan and Chidori still relevant?

With moves like TBB, Yasaka Magatama, Amaterasu, Jinton, Thousand Hands Buddha, Perfect Susano, Perfect Susano covering a freaking Kyuubi, are moves that were so great in Part 1 like Rasengan and Chidori still relevant? They were signature moves of the main characters in part 1 and now they seem like fodder moves

they are still very powerfull.
sometimes there's no need to use the superpowerfull jutsu all the time against regular opponents.
whatever jutsu gets the job done is the right one they also need to think about conserving energy.
