Toneri is the only credible one in my eyes even then he stopped using puppets as soon as he got the Tensigan

I'll go with Vulpini on this1.. Shinki has that boss look along with confidence.. He might be way more beast then Sasori,Chiyo o rKakuro ever was with his puppet mastery..

Sasori had the most potential given that he could make human puppets use their abilities. Imagine op nin like hashi being used as his puppet. The only way for puppet ninjutsu to come back is for shinki to incorporate Sasori's human puppet jutsu and use it on someone op like an ottsusuki

That is a very underrated jutsu but at the same time its very hard to accomplish because to have a strong human puppet you have defeat a strong opponents initially the only reason Sasori had success was because of his poison

I loved the puppet fights but really unless you make puppets out of Kage I don't see them being that relevant against the super tiers.

Puppet mastery was never been much of the use and its a fodder to other techniques , unless you have a good puppet

the problem with the current puppets these days is that they can't produce high class blasts

and they break too easily

We don't know exact methods for making human puppet. Could be that the only requirement is they have to be a corpse.

In the Storm 2 days, being a puppet user made you God Tier.

But no, in-verse, it's a viable fighting style that just happens to have Kankuro/Sasori as it's strongest practitioners. It's just a niche.

Even Lady Chiyo was adept and a badass with her Chikomatsu 10 Puppets, a true powerhouse needs to try use a puppet army in the way Sasori failed to do with his swarm of punch-fodder. Same with the Ootsutsuki.
