@Bold: You clearly haven't got a clue about working out if you really think that's anywhere near true. You only gain fat weight if you take in more than what you burn. Hit a gym before spewing nonsense.

you can't gain more than 3/4 kg of muscle per year. that's a fact, that is because the muscle building is a looong process. I hit weights and I read a lot about it. I'm not speaking nonsense.
you can gain weight by staying normal in eating. when you train, you normally want to eat more, your body is hungry by itself, so you get it what it desires. you keep on training and slowly muscles will build.

muscles are built over the years, slooowly.

it's you who doesn't know shit about training. there is no bulking without fat gains. that is why there is a cut after a bulk, genius.

here is my golden advice : if you want what I learned from experience, don't think about gaining weight, just go and train at you rythm and make the bodybuilding a life routine, a life style. then, as the years go you will notice the changes in your body, slowly.

You can tell that to the movie stars that gain a complete body in 6 months.

These movie stars have a coach 24h/24. they gain musle + fat and then do super cuts.
this is an extremely strict program that can only be achieved with a coach that knows exactly what YOU need, and that has an eye on you constantly.

it is not possible for a guy who does not do that for a living.

You can also tell that to my twin cousins. I got more living examples if you would love to continue.

I gave him an advice for something that works for most people. anyone who does bodybuilding will confirm that the best way to go about it is to make it a life routine, and keep on training for years to have a natural good body in around 5 years.
If you tell a newbie about proteins, shakes, extra calories, bulk and cut...and body in 6 mounths he will not achieve anything. All by himself without supervision, he will make nothing but mistakes.

there are two ways to gain muscle :

- you bulk, gain lots of kg and then cut.
- you eat slightly more, or even stay in your normal eating routine, train a lot, and develop your body slowly and steadily over the years. that is the best way if you want to do it in a healthy way, and keep it.

I also know lots of people that didn't care about eating, they didn't calculate nothing and never took a supplement. but trained for years, they have amazing natural bodies.

there is no amazing gains of muscles for a newbie normal person without supervision in 1 year. the only thing there is is disapointment and mistakes.
the thing you should worry about is the good execution of the exercices.
as for the diet, eat when your hungry : meat, beans, fish, potatos, eggs...food.
and high calorie foods like rice, spaghetti, etc.
don't forget vegetables. and for the proteins, try to reduce the meat and get more beans, fish. a muscular body is no good when it has cancer

when you workout you will destroy muscle fibers, and your body will give you signals of what is needed fo it to reconstruct more strong muscle. as you increase the weights your body will slowly build more muscle for it to lift these new weights....that's how it is, listen to your body, and execute welll the exercices.

there is also the mindset : 2 times a day, try to sit and picture your body building muscle, as you feel exhausted from yesterdays workout, relax and say : I'm getting stronger and more fit every day.

wait on it, be patient, be persistent. and you WILL have your results. and they will stay with you.

And I was correcting your false information.

Protein shakes are vital for certain people, and gaining weight fast is possible.

No need to continue.

gaining fat weight fast is possible. protein shakes are vital for no one.

Gaining muscle mass in short periods of time is possible, and protein shakes are vital to those looking for serious gains and not slow gains like you stated.

And a single protein shake can have 2-6 times more protein than multiple servings of balanced food and takes a lot less time to digest and absorb into the bloodstream. It's also much more convenient than having to stuff one's stomach with large amounts of food. That's why weight lifters take supplements/shakes with their foods to meet their nutritional needs that food just cannot give.

you forgot to mention that it is not natural, and contains components that can lead to cancer.

"Whey protein is produced during the process of making cheese, which starts when certain enzymes are added to milk, causing it to separate out into these constituent parts. One of the parts is called curds. The curds are used to make cheese, leaving behind whey protein in the liquid portion."

Where's your source? You need to stop spreading false information to scare people. It's completely natural and does not cause cancer, unless what you're taking is completely synthetic and/or full of gimmick shit manufacturers use to make money.

you know whey is based on cow milk, well my friend, any doctor will tell you to avoid cow milk because of the growth hormones that favorize cancer.
I would also love to take whey ! but people need seriously to stop saying it is without danger !

especially when you can be fit without it !

Oxygen is slowly killing you as well by oxidizing every cell in your body, including your DNA. I suggest you stop breathing.

doctors are agreeing on the danger of milk, I had nothing to do about that, go debate with them.
