Wasn't Sasuke the one who volunteered to take a solo journey to prevent a possible world crisis for the greater good of mankind? It takes a "fine" person to do that. It just so happens that he's a "shinobi". That doesn't have anything to do with actual power people.

Fail. Sasuke changed his mind about his actions at changing the shinobi world through force. His version of hokage was always different from Narutos so staying in village is a moot point. After their fight Sasuke realized his role in all this was to protect from the shadows. He became a traveler on his own accord as well so another moot point.
