[Discussion] Are Naruto and Sasuke really best friends? [rant ]

First, what exactly is a "Friend"

Second, you are not the characters...nor have you been raised in an environment similar to the characters/most likely. so why should they be restricted by what 'you' see as friendship?

for sasuke, Naruto is his best friend because he is the only one Sasuke acknowledged as his friend in the first place.

They have done more to be considered friends then most peoples real life friends...Saved each others life/Stuck up for someone even when they committed a crime, Sasuke admitting that he cared about his teammates during the Garra battle was enough...people just like to twist sh*t, so they'll say that means they were comrades not friends.

Sometimes people will say Naruto was dumb for not knowing who his 'real friends' were...simply because he use o skip class with a few people. (but they completely disregard those characters attitudes towards Naruto when they were first introduced)

How the fk do you know what my childhood was like? It wasnt a easy one alright, so dont just assume stuff :stfu:

The fact Sasuke has no friends besides Naruto makes him his best friend. Sasuke is more like closest friend to Naruto.

What makes them friends? I dunno. I don't know what makes me and my best pal friends. We just sit around make fun of each other all day. I guess it's being able to understand each other, I wouldn't be able to make fun of random people without them getting sensitive about it loool. Anyways, Naruto and Sasuke have that.

Moments where they bonded:

-The tree climbing exercise where they both made it to the top.
-When Sasuke jumped into a trap to save Naruto VS Haku. "My body just moved on its own."
-The concern Sasuke felt for Naruto when he engaged in battle with Orochimaru (part 1). He knew he couldn't win.
-When Sasuke first told Naruto he wanted to fight him.
-When Naruto showed concern for Sasuke during his fight against Yoroi
-When Sasuke showed interest in whether Naruto beat Neji
-When Naruto told Sasuke "don't lose to a guy like that" (Gaara).
-When Sasuke referred to Sakura and Naruto as "important comrades" during the Gaara fight.
-When Sasuke referred to Naruto as his "closest friend" during the VOTE fight.
-Sasuke smirked when he revisited the land of waves in part 2 when he saw the name of bridge (the great Naruto bridge).
-When Sasuke thought of Naruto and the rest of team 7 during the killer bee fight.
-Naruto's whole goal of rescuing Sasuke was for himself as well as for the sake of keeping his promise to Sakura, because of their bond.
-The fact that Sasuke had to resolve to killing Naruto in order to end all ties between them.

Probably a few other things that I missed.

the recent chapter is probably the only moment anybody can ever recall them being able to make small talk w/o the need to cave the other one's head in. And what makes it worse, Sasuke basically showed and said more oftentimes than not in the story that a friendship was something he didn't want. In lieu of what Naruto has said about Sasuke being the closest friend, Shikamaru has actually treated Naruto more like that than Sasuke. When i think of friends, i think of ppl who actually know each other. Sasuke has shown he obviously doesn't know Naruto very well since he continually kept expecting Naruto to give up.

I could write a giant ass post to show you more facts. But why? I'll show you in a few simple words. Remember when Naruto and Sasuke did missions (or whatever the hell they did back in the old days). Even in the Land of Water arc, they were smiling and competing with each other. You're going to tell me guys express they're feelings with emotions? Nah they are guys, and expressed their growing relationship with rivalry. ​

-Sasuke willingly put his life on the line to save Naruto from Haku

-Sasuke was one of the first People to acknowledge Naruto

-Naruto saved Sasuke from Orochimaru's Snake

-Sasuke Referred to Naruto and Sakura as his precious Comrades and was about to buy them some time and didn't whether he lived just so Naruto and Sakura could escape from Gaara

I'm pretty sure there's way more but those are some key ones

I said you are not a character raised in Nv...are you a child solider who does deadly life risking missions willingly?
