Are Madara and Obito really completely evil?

It's true, these guys do and did a lot of bad things and their plan to put the world under genjutsu might seem a bit sick. But on the other hand, their motives are good, aren't they? Their purpose is to put an end to all wars, pain and injustice of the world, to create a world where these things just don't exist, where people can be happy. Whether HOW they want to do it is right or wrong is a different matter. They might be lost, wrong in their assumption that the end justifies the means or whatever, but since their motives are good, doesn't that mean they're not really evil?
They don't kill all these people for their own entertainment, they do a for something they actually believe to be a greater good.
You've seen Madara in the last chapter... He seems "destroyed", not evil... Betrayed by his own clan, for which he really cared about, defeated by Hashirama, being left all alone, he's just lost all hope and came into the conclusion that as the world exists in its "normal" form, people will never be truly able to achieve happiness...
What are your thoughts?

I reckon Madara is, I don't buy his crap in the last chapter, he has no real reason to feel like that, all that happened is that he lost to his lover, and the methods in which he did it were wrong, I mean the guy got his own clan killed, I think it is the control aspect he desires more than the peace.

Obtio is still evil, but I think he truly believes in this and is doing it for the rights reasons, to obtain peace.

try to remember that it wasn't really obito that started the war. he gave the kages a choice!! give up naruto & bee, and everything will be fine. no other people would have to be killed, but they said no so he was forced to bring war to them.

their plan is exactly what you said, to defy their free will. but how else are you going to solve the issue of ongoing wars, and hate? its human nature to kill each other over the stupidest things, so why not put everyone under genjutsu and really end the hate, the killing, and war? just because it doesn't sound like a total "good guy" thing to do, doesn't make it something "evil".

i don't know about madara, but obito seems like he's traumatized enough to be doing this all for TRUE PEACE.

Honestly this is how I feel about them. Madara really wants everyone to be happy and peaceful but he sees no other way to do it but through the moons eye plan. But can you blame him the shinobi world had yet to be peaceful even with all the different methods taken there was always betrayal and always sadness (atasuki orphans, Itachi, sasuke, the third and 4th, jiraya, and so on and so forth). He decided to take matters into his own hands and fix the world himself. He wants peace so badly he is willing to do it by any means necessary, and while its a bit extreme its a means be found to do it. It's like right idea WRONG way to go about it. He's still the all mighty basedgod those and I love him for it lol.

Now obito still has some explaining that needs to be done but I could see how he would go along with the moons eye plan since he was "cut short" by war and not only that the only girl he ever loved was killed (most likely due to something shinobi conflict related) and he nor kakashi could save her. Then this old man comes to him after saveing his life and tells him about his plan to eliminate war forever and based on the mans reputation seems very much possible it's like everything he new was bs. Just like before good intentions with a bad plan of execution.

Like stated before no one is really bad in naruto except Orochimaru and he can even be explained to an extent lol.

They are not pure evil. They do want world peace. But they are forcing word peace through power not true "love". When Madara was talking to Oonoki about their past you can tell that Madara does want peace. He had no reason to lie to them because in the end there is no one that can stop him, at least in his mind. Orochimaru is just flat out evil.

The only true evil mad man of this series was Orochimaru.
He is literally like the ”devil” of the naruto series.

Madara and Obito arent evil and all. And infact, their reasoning seems logical.Its just the means of sacrafice people have to accept.

The reason people dont agree with it is because their consciousness will be lost.
And this decision is being forced upon rather they like it or not. Thats when the plan itself now becomes ”evil”.

I agree with you Madara feels betrayed by his clan , Hashirama, and even by the village that he co founded there's still a huge chance that he might be evil but think about it the Third Hokage was willing to protect the leaf village no matter what even if it meant through the shadows or wiping out an entire clan which is still causing damage today just look at Sasuke but that does not make the Third Hokage evil. For all we know Hashirama could have been the evil one, the leaf village isn't goodie-goodies themselves.

There's good and evil in everyone. Humans like to classify things in good and bad because it's easier than seeing things in a more balanced realistic way. It also is a way for us to classify and evaluate things, but is it really intelligent to see things in such a black and white way?

no one is evil, u can't say something is evil without knowing what evil means, its just a word, we got that to differ justice from injustice nothing else. This whole Evil good thing started from Religion, by telling don't kill its bad don't steal its bad. Everything is evil that is taken away by others, but is it True? I would say no, we do kill every day, we do steal every day, from earth and animals. Why do we humans think we are more worth then any other living beeing? Killing is Killing even if it is a ant. U kill to survive why is that not evil, and to kill someone just for fun is? We just got this ethnic ways of thinking, but at the end there is no good or evil, there is just doing it or not. Its your own choice, what u do, or what people declare as beeing not right, but if u think its right yourself then no one can say it is not true.

So no there is no one really evil, they just follow their own dicision like Lucifer did, it is just a matter of being able to do and not of being evil to do so~
