I am girl x3 haha Personally, I always liked shonen better then shojo. I liked watching guys kick other guys butts haha I mean, when I first started watching Dragonball Z, all my guy friends were like "Wow, that's awesome!" lol The ones that looked at me like this "O.O" I was like really? Think about it, what girl wouldn't want to see hot muscular men fight and get their shirts torn off Personally, that is just me, but if I had to watch something between a girly shojo with them turning into sailor moon ripoffs or guys fighting manly with muscles and their shirts getting torn off every now and then, I would personally take shonen anyday.I use to watch Sailor Moon religiously lol Then I saw how hardcore the DBZ fights were compared to it and thought "Why are they so different?" lol I then realized the audience they were aiming at and thought it made sense. Really has nothing to do with gender though imo. In Japan, the girls over there are WAY more girly, than the ones from the USA (like where I live) so it makes sense on why they are so gender biased. I mean, I know a guy who read "Absolute Boyfriend" when I was in HS, so yeah, all depends what you like lol Shouldn't have to watch something according to gender, however the majority that do watch shonen are men so yeah :3 WATCH WHAT YOU WANT!! IT'S A FREE WORLD! x3

It might be presumptuous of me, but take my advice: Share yourself where it matters, this isn't that kind of thread.

A few, but you can't really expect women to like a manga directed towards a male audience.

I know quite a few who love this type of manga. I think it's a stereotype when people say girls cant like shounen. It's true most girls like the shoujo type but some like both.
I find shoujo/shounen/yuri/ horror/ psychological animes to be the best.
