[Discussion] Are Germa overhyped ?

This week chapter the Germa top guns ichiji,Niji and Reiju were crushed easily by BM top tier.

Do you think Germa was unnecessary hype made by fans I was little disappointed regarding ichiji he was not able to do anything against katakuri? ?

Do you think Oda still has anything under his sleeve regardingredients Germa kids. Also kind of disappointed with sanji lost to that genie guy (daifuku) ?

I suppose there should be proper comeback for them ??

Wrong, he won on Fishman Island and he saved Violet on Dressrosa. But he is the real winner with his own story arc.

I don't think Germa was overhyped but a lot of people on this forum underestimated Big Mom and we've had 8 months worth of threads here that have been bashing her character, her power, and her crewmates. It's just a reality check for people who were reading One Piece as if they were reading Naruto.

So it's a bitter pill to swallow that Luffy's heritage doesn't grant him godly powers, or the power of friendship can't save him this time.

I am big fan of Sanji . It has been disappointing arc for him despite that was his arc. I am disappointed he has not even managed to beat daifuku. Still waiting for his first W since time skip.

Sanji dodging Katakuri's bullet was pretty impressive lol.

But about the Sanji stuff, Sanji doesn't necessarily have to win any fights, moreso his character development has to increase and we see his resolve with his father, so I guess that is a step up.

At this point not even a G4 Luffy can even flinch BM, so Sanji besting any of her crewmates isn't happening.

OT: Maybe the Germa have been a little overhyped but can you blame them for getting their ass kicked? >_O

I have seen people she doesn't have haki. Well I was one of few who thought big mom could be weakest of 4 emperors. Well it looks like Oda is playing another field he is not done with BM yet probably she will be relevant till the raftel and Elbaf arc .

Well The godfather and killer assasin theme was badass at first time and Sanji's Father was big mystery when he was introduced at the time of Zou . Well Big Moms just floored everyone truly a Yonko . I dunno how luffy will beat Kaido ? Will be interesting if Dragon comes in this arc and teach luffy awakening power i could see interesting happening .

Well i dunno where to rate Germa now basically i am coming to facts they are not that strong without their army .

Yeah idk the I'll handle Kaidou then come back to handle you was a bit odd to me too. I still feel like BM should be the first Yonkou to fall.

It's just a minor defeat. The Germa commanders of the first and 2nd divisions are on their way from Sky Island led by none other than Enel Von Heimlich - the Goddu himself, and Adolfo Wundermannen - The Meistro. Germa wasn't really interested in Big mom, but her proximity to their terretories and threat to their upcoming war against the World Government has put her on their shortlist.

From the manga's standpoint, no imo. They use high grade technology to fight that was made alongside seemingly the greatest inventor in OP, Vegapunk. Sure the brothers and Reiji, have some skills and are superhuman but their potential was limited the minute they depend on technology and their raid suits to fight. Plus, Big Mom's crew is the real deal. The Vinsmokes weren't gonna be stronger than Sanji meaning they never stood a chance against Big Mom, especially without their island army.

I also think people are overthinking BM's statement about Kaidou. Yes she was giving him some type of praise but it's not like she was saying he's far stronger than her. Just that that beast, like Big Mom, is way outta the SHs league atm.
