The idea goes, if I may butt in, that Scripture was written by men, and as we all know, men like to insert or change things originally meant to be pure and simple into something that would benefit them or the city in the form of politics. Not all the Bible, per say, but certainly the passages in which rules are involved.
Who says those are gods rules? You know how diluted mostly every holy scripture is from the original? It's all for control purposes, hell the bible was written 400 years after jesus had died. People had forget all about him. The scriptures aren't even interpreted right, priests go to school to learn what to teach.
If part of the Bible is fabricated, why not the whole thing?
You homo-sapiens and your guns.
Well then just do that, if being gay truly makes you unhappy.Sexuality will not change. Rehab is bullshit, you can learn to not act on impulses, but the sexualizing will always be there. That's how pedophiles stop raping children if I believe correctly. They'll always sexualize kids, but they've rationalized to keep their thoughts in their head and not take them to reality.
I always thought CNN was good at weeding out the crazies for their interviews and guest speakers.
Free will.
If God gives us a lollipop, we're grateful and we want to have it. Although if we try to lick it we get smacked for it.
He just wants us to be content with us having the lollipop, we can't really have it or do what we please with it.
I could come up with something better, but right now I'm sucking on a lollipop, so I got that shit in my head right now.
lolipop, anyone?

Or just get with a girl that looks like a guy :|
They still need inspiration in the Bible--tales of miracles being performed and the lore surrounding Heaven. Political leaders wanted to show people what goodness would befall them were they to obey what Scripture writes. Simply writing rules to live by without any signs of altruism would turn people off and wise up.
You should do some research my friend, the disciples didn't even finish the scripture till about 100 years after jesus death. The whole scripture is parabales, you don't really think noah built an arc large enough to hold 2 of every kind of animal on earth, that represents the human body. Jesus getting crucified on the cross and then raising 3 days later? It's symbolic for destroying your lower nature and being reborn to your higher nature. Every master left behind a book on how to reach there level of attainment but instead people take it literally and start worshiping the prophets whose mission was to leave knowledge to help humanity along the path.
As for control I'm not going to even explain that, you can research on google and find out enough about that for yourself. It's obvious and well documented throughout history. When ever you have one central power further down the generations it gets corrupt, the vatican keeps re releasing different texts of the bible to change with the laws to keep up with the current time and there views. You can actually go there an see proof of that.
Who are the political leaders you're referring to? What time period? lol To specify, are you saying the Bible was altered before or after it was written?
It couldn't possibly be altered before it was written, so we'll settle for 'after'. The political leaders are, of course, the bishops of the Catholic Church who, as history explains well, had tremendous power over the religiously-ruled regions. You could perhaps argue that they had more power than kings and queens! Why put more trust in a prime minister when these guys had "connections with God"? The religious leaders had their scripture that influenced the minds of many, including the children with which the parents would then teach. All they had to do was nudge the scripture in their favor a little.
100 as is when the created the scriptures, it wasn't actually but into a book for another 300 years after. Also the Vatican is the highest authority in Christanity, all sects and divisions are branched off from there.
"Blending world views", doesn't make any sense. Can you explain what you meant? If you really think about what I'm telling you it will help you immensely but then again everyone is on a different step on the path.
