Are databooks canon? I'm trying to find out what animals exist in NV for fanfic purpo

He's right, if you're to use date to judge the databook, then the info in the manga would be non canon as well, part 1 would be non canon.

Is this a joke? Tsukuyomi is chakra taxing and requires Eye contact while Trollkage genjutsu works on a entire army via mist and cant be dispel by normal means.

Chakra taxing but once done. You don't have much else to since pretty much no one aside from MS users break out.

Sensors take care of troll justu.

They're supplementary cannon. If the manga proves it false, then the Manga takes precedence, if not, the Databook is credible and adds extra content the manga does not.

These. It shouldn't matter for a fanfic what animals exists; being a fanfic you could put a T-Rex in there and it'd be canonical to your fanfic. :|
