Dreckerplayer: How pathetic. I see right through you, you know. You want me to share what you will perceive as problems so you can feel better about your own shortcomings and failures. "Therapy." This is delusion. So you can point at those who see things for how they are and label it "wrong" and a "problem" so you don't have to accept that your muddled existence is in fact the one that has fallen short. This little game of yours won't work on me.

That's low self esteem, for you.
If theism is a white dot and atheism a black dot, spirituality is the infinite grey zone surrounding them both. It's not something either religion or atheism can claim as their own.
For some reason spirituality has been defined in this thread as 'believing in spirits', which is as childish and shallow as it sounds. If that truly was what it means, why does that concept even exist? Pretty much any religion has spirits in one form or another, so the entire concept of spirituality would be obsolete as it would be nothing more than a synonym for religion.
No spirituality is something that can be present while being void of any religious nature or while completely being fueled by it and it can occur on the level of a single individual just as easy it can a on a world-wide scale.
Take for example an atheist son who lost his christian father. Do you think he's just going to throw his father's corpse on a pile of dung? Of course not, he most likely will do what his father would have wanted and for the son this is also a way to cope with his father's death. It doesn't matter that he isn't religious, by preforming the rites his father valued so much, he still can connect with him. That's spirituality.
And a variation of this. I once read it's actually possible to be buried in a special cocoon that uses the corpse as nourishment for a tree to grow from the cocoon. Now imagine both the son and the father are both atheists who made it clear they don't feel much for the traditional burying rituals. So the son decides to literally turn his deceased father into fertilizer for a new tree. You can't be any more practical than that, but this is still very well a ritual that allows the son the cope with his father's death. And the fact that his father still exists in the form of a tree, allows him to still physically be with him. For the son that tree would be completely different from any other tree as he has strong spiritual connection with it, but not because of any kind of religious beliefs.
Heck even just lying on your back staring at the sky can be considered a spiritual activity, just like so many other things. So no it's not hypocritical, not in the least because many religions throughout history had the tendency to assert their influence in many aspects of human society and human lives. So this would be a story of the pot and the kettle.

First I want to say Atheism is not a belief.It is a term to describe those who do not follow a religious belief.Novody goes around calling people Anti-fairies or Anti-Easter bunny for not believing in them.With that said Spirituality has evolved and has multiple connotations meaning there is no rigid defining definition and thus does not belong to religious people.
In modern times the emphasis is on subjective experience of any of the aforementioned; Sacred dimensions. The "deepest values and meanings by which people live,”( Also known in its true form as ethics and morality which was derived from philosophy)
And most importantly “often in a context separate from organized religious institutions.[4]”Modern systems of spirituality may include a belief in a supernatural (beyond the known and observable) realm,[5] personal growth,[6] a quest for an ultimate or sacred meaning,[7] religious experience,[8] or an encounter with one's own inner "innedimension.””
