Atheism isn't good or bad. Its completely neutral. At the same time religion is neutral as well. It can be used for good or bad, which way its used is completely up to the person using it.

I think that it is all based on how your parents (and your surroundings) raise you, not in what you believe in (or not). If atheist is raised with care, love and if moral values are "implanted" into the core of his very person he will be positive. If not - he will go around kill, steal etc. Same goes with religious man - noone really recieves any education on how to be a good person from priests. When you are kid all things in bible (just an example) sound just like some bedtime stories and you don't even try to grasp the real meaning of it. By the time you are grown up your parents and surroundings have already shaped you in a man with set-in-stone beliefs and nothing will change them.

truthfully i think the christians who "see or hear" things are crazies who need to be put in a hospital. Just because the hallucinations might sound good does not mean ur less crazy than the ones who hear bad things.
Christianity on the surface says you make your own choices but that is not true "God" knows everything past present and future it already knows what is going to happen and can change the results whenever it chooses... which means ppl don't have choice. which means the whole consept of heaven and hell, of being forgiven, of being a sinner, its all BS.
I suppose i've rambled on enough you guys get my point. I just wish religious ppl were more logical about the things they believed.

P.S. for those of you who believe that you have to believe in something greater than yourself or you will fall for anything. Just because i'm not religious that does not mean that I "fall" for anything.

I think that religion is the best control you could possibly have over someone because it requires absolutaly nothing but faith

Well, for one, we don't believe in anything, a word to word translation from Greek of the word Atheist, means "Without-God".
The whole structure and point of Atheism is that there is no belief in anything.

But let me tell you this, what If I don't agree with Christianity?
What if I think it`s wrong?

And I think I am talking in behalf of every Atheist here, but keep your Hallucination`s love away from me.
