Seems like a lot of people are hating on chapter 668 and that recently a lot of people did not enjoy the chapters and frankly I don't know why.
Let's take this latest chapter for example. What I have seen is a lot of people complaining about the fact that we got a lot of flashbacks this chapter but I don't see why most people don't seem to enjoy it. I know that the end of last chapter made it seem like we were gonna get an epic fight between gai and madara so I understand why some people could be mad but I still loved this chapter.
We got that 1st flashback where gai tells Lee that he must become strong enough so that he can look at him and smile and it was very well done because we see gai smiling before he leaves. Then we learn more about gai, I don't see how this is bad. We learn that he wasn't always the guy that he is now and we can see how he got to this point and why he believes he must do this, while his relationship whit his dad is also a parallel with his relationship with lee. Again very well done.
Chapters like this must be more appreciated because in case you haven't notice we got less than a chapter worth of background story on gai and he is probably about to die after this. Also don't worry cause we will eventually get to see him in 8th gate fight madara so it's all good. Naruto is almost over and idk about you but I really want to enjoy it as much as possible.
