Rain Ninjutsu originates from Amekagure, a small and industrialized village located in an unnamed country, which has served as the battlefield for the various ninja wars, the Second Great Shinobi World War being especially damaging. This has led to a heavily isolationist policy for the village, with its leaders rarely being seen in public. Due to all this, the people of Amegakure are very cautious and Amegakure itself has adopted a strict policy of security.
Rain Ninjutsu is an unique ability that reflects the iconic, yet continuous weather of Amegakure. Users of Rain directly manipulate the skies to their advantage, granting them an unique and strategic control over the battlefield. Rain differs from Water Release in the sense that it not only requires skilled chakra control, but an awareness of the surroundings as its techniques draw from environmental sources. As many are accustomed to Mother Nature and its autonomous events, suddenly turning something as natural as Rain into a weapon would catch many off guard. However, that is not the best part about Rain. The reason why Rain is number one is that anyone can transform a dull, sunny day into a marvelous and beautiful rainy day. Holding his hand, palm to the sky, Shinta would wait until several rain drops had landed in his palm. Once he had enough of the rain drops, Shinta would inject his chakra into them to coalesce the rain into an orb, which he would propel with a burst of chakra towards the nearest of Korra's clones. The effect would be the blunt force of the rain knocking the clone backwards slightly.
Next, Shinta would focus his chakra into the rain falling over another of Korra's clones; altering the properties of the falling water in a similar manner to the Syrup Capture Field jutsu. The would cause the rain to become sticky, binding the clones feet to the ground which it stood as more and more rain would fall to re-enforce the effects.

Description: The user of this technique must place chakra into one or more raindrops. As the drops of rain hit the ground they create a small sized spike of water from puddles on the ground. For this technique to work there must be water on the ground and it must be raining.
Focus your chakra into one of more drops of rain as they fall. When those drops hit the ground they become small sized spikes of water from puddles on the ground that were formed by the rain. For water to be on the ground you could use a large water jutsu that leaves water on the ground so that you dont have to wait for the rain to make enough water on the ground ^^ Only downside to this is your gonna have to wait for it to rain a good amount to let some water puddles to build up.

Description: By using chakra to condense a large amount of rainwater into one place, the user creates a spear of water in the clouds. The spear can at any time be called down to strike an opponent with only one hand-seal. The water will stay in the form of spear for a short amount of time (three posts). If the spear is not used by that time it will fall uselessly as rain. The only warning this technique gives is a second pause in the rain when the water is gathered and condensed.
Focus your chakra and use it to condense a large amount of rainwater into the sky. Then create a spear of water from the condensed water in the clouds. You can call it down anytime you want with the use of one handseal.

Within a certain amount of time the water will be in the form of a spear, after that it will turn into rain again and fall to the ground. A great jutsu to do a surprise with. When you learn another jutsu where you make the rain come from any directions this combine with that would be a great combination ^^

Improving upon the rain reflection clone used previously, I now use the rain to form a more realistic looking clone of myself. However this clone is still unable to do anything, it has a more solid appearance and a better ability to fool my opponents.

Description: A jutsu that actually uses the victim's clothing as a medium to effect him or her. By filling the clothing with water-elemental chakra the user causes the clothing to fully retain all water it comes in contact with which will gradually cause the clothing to become heavier and heavier. Unfortunately, this jutsu that does not create water, so it is only useful in a rainy or otherwise wet environment
Focus your chakra and send it towards the opponent, or rather onto their clothes. Attract rain to the clothes and enable them to retain all the water in the clothes. This will eventually cause the clothes to become heavier to the point where it is hard to move for the opponent. Bascially a jutsu to help slow down opponents but not fully stop them. I would recommend using the rain glue instead of this one.

Using my chakra I send it to infuse with my opponents clothes, to attract and retain all the rain drops that come into contact with the clothes. After time, this causes the clothes to become super-saturated to the point where the opponent is slowed from the weight of the rain-water.
Sending my chakra into the rain-clouds above, I morph a cloud to take on my exact appearance and colour. However, the wispy nature of the cloud is still retained, despite being slightly more durable in order to take and receive attacks.

If struck by electricity it will move through the water and strike the user as well.

Performing the seals shown to my by my sensei, I use them to channel my chakra into the rain high above in order to group together many drops into larger and heavier drops of rain. These drops would then fall at an accelerated rate due to my chakra and crash into the ground with great force.
Performing a quick string of seals, I channel my chakra into my hands while holding them outstretched in front of me, using the chakra to catch and draw in nearby rain drops. I focus these rain drops into a solid wall of water, in contact with my open palms. The wall is transparent and feels sturdy enough to stop a decent punch/kick or even fully protect me from a fire jutsu.

Sending my chakra into the clouds above, I focus on creating several points for the rain to condense on in order to make larger rain drops. These then fall but only when much larger than the average rain drop, being more noticeable when they strike my target and causing a distraction/nuisance to them.
After performing the hand seals, I use my chakra to grab every rain drop to stop them in place, leaving them hovering in the air where they stopped.

The water returns to normal shortly after creation. When the dagger cuts into something the water from the dagger expands within the cut to increase the damage.

Due to infusing your chakra in the created weapon, it gives it more density so that it can be used for attacks instead of a splash of water in the face xD When you use the dagger to cut someone it automatically expands the cut with the water to increase the damage.

Description: A helpful technique for staying dry in the rain. After a few short handsigns, the user can create an invisible umbrella by extending their arm over their head and holding an open palm towards the sky. This "umbrella stops all rain, but cannot stop jutsu that take a more solid form like the Rain spear technique. This technique was actually made to stop the acid rain technique and other average falling rain techniques from touching the user.
Focus your chakra while you perform the needed handseals, then extend your arm into the sky and release the chakra through your hand, this will create an umbrella which will stop the rain above you from hitting you. It does not work when the rain is somehow hardened or the likes.

Due to infusing your chakra in the created weapon, it gives it more density so that it can be used for attacks instead of a splash of water in the face xD When you use the dagger to cut someone it automatically expands the cut with the water to increase the damage.

Description: A helpful technique for staying dry in the rain. After a few short handsigns, the user can create an invisible umbrella by extending their arm over their head and holding an open palm towards the sky. This "umbrella stops all rain, but cannot stop jutsu that take a more solid form like the Rain spear technique. This technique was actually made to stop the acid rain technique and other average falling rain techniques from touching the user.
Focus your chakra while you perform the needed handseals, then extend your arm into the sky and release the chakra through your hand, this will create an umbrella which will stop the rain above you from hitting you. It does not work when the rain is somehow hardened or the likes.
