Using only Freeform and E-rank Ninjutsu, Defend From and Counter-Attack Someone Who Threw Three Kunai at You:
Ren was walking on the dirt road alongside one of the merchants that she was on a mission to escort from Konoha to Suna, when a sudden rustle of leaves from a nearby tree drew her attention.
Three kunai whistled through the air towards her position, and though her first instinct was to dodge the angle of the throw would cause the merchant to be hit. She needed to handle this another way. Ren quickly pulled off her scarf in a well practiced motion and spread it out with two hands in front of herself, forming a barrier between the kunai and their targets. The kunai thudded into the scarf and poked a few small holes into it, but the hidden pockets in the scarf which contained shuriken and other basic ninja tools were enough to blunt the impact.
Startled by the sudden motion, the merchant behind her jerked back and almost tripped over his own feet to get away from whatever had spooked his ninja guard.
As the three kunai dropped to the ground in front of her, Ren quickly lowered the scarf since it was blocking her vision. She snatched up one of the fallen kunai and threw it back in the direction of her attacker with force. Ren quickly weaved a bunshin directly overlapping herself and matching her own movements as the kunai flew through the air.
"Kage Kunai no Jutsu" she called out. Ren knew no such jutsu, but she had clearly just molded chakra and the clone's appearance wasn't noticeable to the casual eye. Combined with the kunai throw she was able to successfully bluff her opponent into abandoning his position, jumping out of then tree to avoid the barrage of kunai that he'd been expecting and immediately charging forward to skewer the genin on his sword. Now noticeable, the ninja had the appearance of a Sand ninja, even bearing a Suna forehead protector... without the expected slash mark.
Ren threw the scarf she had been holding at the Sand ninjas face to disguise her hand signs as she substituted with the kunai she had thrown into the tree just a few seconds ago, leaving the bunshin she had made earlier in her place. The attacked sand ninja was delayed only for a brief second as he slashed the unusually heavy and durable scarf out of the way and then lunged through the illusion clone. The man only had an instant to realize the deception before three kunai impacted him from behind, one of them a lucky strike to the neck that bypassed the suna flack vest which did not have a neck guard unlike it's konoha counterpart.
Ren approached the downed ninja with the intention of interrogating him about why a non missing ninja of an allied nation would attack a konoha ninja, but the man made a hand sign and exploded before she managed to get very close. When the smoke cleared there was no body or even pieces of a body so Ren figured that the man had escaped.
Wary, she considered this disturbing development, before deciding to turn the merchant caravan back towards Konoha. It would have been one thing if the attacker was a missing nin, but an official Suna shinobi? Clearly there were new developments that she wasn't aware of. It would be best to return home and make new plans, even if it would cost the merchants some money in the short term.
~By applying, I recognize the amount of effort in the Role-Play side of training, as well as amount of effort in the Learning side of training, expected from Sharingdork-sensei. I also recognize that Sharingdork-sensei will teach me all the basics, and all special techniques he can, and I will not get another teacher for anything he can teach me.~
Edit: Sorry, I only read the first few pages and this last page, so I didn't realize that you weren't accepting more students especially for the squad application. I'll leave this post here because I kind of like it and might refer to it later.
