The reason I say this is because according to wiki he has fire and lightning affinity......apparently.
Also according to his wiki page it has this: He also has some proficiency with Fire and Lightning Release nature transformations.

I'm confused by this because I've read the manga from start to finish and watched every single anime episode so far and I've never read or seen any evidence of this but if it is true it's a bit of a shock.

There's reason to believe that Gai, who is a jonin master, can use ninjutsu if he wished. However he won't except for a summon every now and then

Have you ever seen them using it?
On the other hand, if we haven't seen them using element type jutsu it wouldn't meant they are not capable of some jutsu of element type.

when guy was younger he was like Lee he just sucked at ninjutsu and genjutsu but as he got older he learned ninjutsu's like summonings but since he mostly focused on taijutsu that became his speciality......

Gui can’t mold chakra to use Nature affinity on its own without the Gates like the rest, Lee is in the same boat.

Guy simply sucks at using them. If he tried doing some basic fire technique, it would be very weak, that is why he uses taijutsu, in which he can kick anyone with.

Obviously Gai knows some lightning and fire techniques. However they are probably weak or just simple D or C rank level. He'd rather stick to taijutsu.
