Has Kishi ever elaborate on how Ao got his byakugan? Obviously he got it from battle with a hyuga but I'm surprised the Leaf Village just let that go.

Nah, it was in the manga too I believe. It's what caused Hizashi's death.

it was missed that there was even a lost byukugan, and a surprise even more so that the on that sliped through was stolen without reprisal... so the leaf did not even no of its missing, let alone stolen whereabouts.

Lmao it was a fodder compared to sharingan thats why Kishi ditched it i bet Ao feel a hella salty he wasted his time getting a Byakugan when he coulda got a Sharingan. But if Kishi made Byakugan and Sharingan equal i would love to see Ao and Kakashi go
