welcome. and i noticed the join date too and was glad to see others did as well.
I came up with some ways you might be new here though:
-Hacked the account, new to nb
-Someone gave you the account, old account new to nb
-You made the account, and not once browsed anywhere on the site so you could come back new in the future
-you saw someone that joined way before you and only based the term "new" off of that
-troll
-you've been in a coma ever since you created the account and think it's still oct 2011
