No, you misunderstand. :| The Byakugan can only SEE if someone else is under genjutsu. This however, does NOT mean that the Byakugan itself is immune to genjutsu. :eww: For example, if Neji and Hinata are fighting along side an Uchiha and one of them(say Hinata) is put under genjutsu, Neji can see if she is under genjutsu by using the Byakugan. But the genjutsu will still affect the victim(Hinata) as they are not from the Uchiha Clan unless they know how to break out of genjutsu. hmm Although Kotoamatsukami is among the advanced level genjutsu like Izanami and Tsukuyomi thus it can't be broken easily.

No you're wrong, it doesn't just allow to see someone in genjutsu but Hyuga's can also tell if they get caught in Genjutsu since they can fight with eyes closed thanks to their Byakugan's ability to see chakra flow, as shown by Ao.

With Their X, 360 degree, and extended vision, the Hyugas can both close their eyes, to prevent getting caught in Genjutsu of the Sharingan, and still see where their opponent is and exactly what they’re doing. It was also shown by Hinata in the Itachi Pursuit ARC that the Byakugan is capable of detecting when a Genjutsu is in use.

Hyuga can also dispel genjutsu as it was explained by Jiryiaya when he Says "If you use more power" this seems to indicate that, the better you are at controlling your chakra, the easier it will be to break or dispel genjutsu, which explains why Sakura was considered a genjutsu type, as casting genjutsu and dispelling it both require great control of chakra.

Now here's what you going to say. Tsukyomi is impossible to break out. What exactly does it take for one to break out of genjutsu? Controlling their chakra in a proper way, and as we know, no one is capable of controlling their chakra better than the Hyuga, so much so that they are able to release chakra from all of their chakra points.

Tsukiyomi has been confirmed to require FULL EYE CONTACT to work, as was in the case of Asuma & Kurenai closing their eyes when facing Itachi.
